View Full Version : Alexandra Burke. Did she jump or was she pushed?
I understood that it was her decision to leave Syco and go to RCA, but according to DS it was a 'mutual decision' which leads me to think she may have walked before she was shown the door.
Syco's list of artists is looking very bare at the moment. Il Divo, Leona, Andrew Johnson (Really?), SuBo, Olly Murs (joint deal), Jackie Evencho and three X Factor 2010 finalists - oh and Ronan Parke I suppose.

RCA is a much better music company and will probably give her much more success. I expect that even if they pushed her, she would have jumped anyway.

She has been very successful so I doubt she was pushed. Probably mutual as its better suited for her style of music.
I suspect they were trying to force her in a certain direction and she wasn't having it.

Might have been after her flop performance on XF last year, did that song even chart :s
Seems mad to push one of the few successful acts from the X Factor out; if that's the case then she must have annoyed them somehow - SyCo seem like headless chickens when it comes to managing their talent, it's not really that surprising she's moved elsewhere.

:nono: don't get it twisted
that was a very old song from an album that had sold nearly a million so it was no flop at all.

Yeah #14 or something, but the song had been out for a year, so it's no wonder
I thought SyCo might want to hold onto her - she's a credible artist with a big voice and current (as Simon says). That SyCo rosta is looking a bit middle-of-the-road and 'safe' to me ...

this is exactly what Simon and Louis are all about
If I were a creative modern artist I'd wanna be well away from those two

I think she likely left on the advice of her team around her,she has been and is very successful so I doubt she was pushed, she has made a wise move I think.
