Do you think there should be a Lady Gaga week this year on the X Factor? Like when it's down to the final 6 or something..
They could sing..
Just Dance
Poker Face
Bad Romance
Telephone
Alejandro
Born this way
Edge of Glory
Judas
Etc....
Thought I would list the more "well known" songs.
Plus in the same week Gaga could release a new single and perform it on the X Factor!
What do you think?

Yes, they're always going on about how the contestants need to be relevant, then they go and do Elton John weeks :bored: wtf
No, I think the themes should be far broader than just one particular artist's songs.

couldn't care either way
What a horrible week that will end up being
Fetch The Bolt Cutters

no because none of the contestants will suit her songs >_>

This.
Well, actually, I think they should scrap the themes. Half of the songs dont fit them anyways :/

There isn't really that much diversity in her discography yet... you'd either be doing discopop or a ballad.

No
she's too limited. Musically she's a one trick pony.
It would be painful watching them trying to adapt to her music. Im still recovering from the Italian guy who butchered Just dance.

If this year is going to follow the recent trend of set weeks no one cares about like 18th century week but you can still sing Leona and get away with it then yes.

(i agree with you on something to do with music )
I think theme weeks are only good if it's a genre, not an artist, and even then they're usually rubbish to watch. It's nonsense to harp on about being "relevant and current" and then have a Michael Jackson week or something, let them sing "relevant and current" songs if that's what they want. At the end of the competition the winner (and some of the other contestants, usually) will launch a career and they need to release music that people will buy in order to continue to have a career, and if people grow to like the winner because they've been singing cover versions of songs from the 80s, they're not going to really warm to them when they release music for the 2010s, are they? I get that the show is an entertainment show firstly and foremostly and that theatrics and dramatics will always come first, but it still makes no sense from a business POV for SyCo to have artists on their roster that won't sell music.

Yes, because she's huge and I love hearing people ruin her songs, then ranting about it after
But that should be the only artist week.
Can't stand Lady Copycat who thinks creativity is mining other artists' back catalogue. However, I have no doubt they will try a Lady Gaga Week at some point.

Not really when over half of the 'current' male musicians are pale MJ imitators. Iyaz, Jason Derulo, Chris Brown, Jay Sean - they're all trying to do the "I can bodypop and sing R&B" shtick, albeit with less creativity.

Said this last year - when the show was actually on and it was relevant - and I think a Lady GaGa week would of been far better than the silly themes they had last year.
However - now? No.
It would just boost her ego and her fans would add it to their list of '101 Reasons why Lady GaGa is going to take over the world'.
And all her songs sound like sh*te now where as last year and the year before, they were amazing.

I think when they go on about how the contestants need to match today's image, Lady Gaga is today's image

To be honest they should just do away with themes altogether and just have a varied selection of songs every week without limitations
