Shania Twain Costume Hire

Asking on the off chance: I want a Shania Twain outfit for a Divas Night Out. I realise I could go out and buy all the things individually - but would prefer if I could just hire the full chibang.

Problem is: I can only find one website that offers what I'm looking for and it look pretty naff quality tbh.

This is the outfit I want to copy: it's the long coat and top hat that's causing the real problem : anyone on here seen anything similar in their local fancy dress shops / aware of someone they know who managed to hire anything similar that I could get details from?

I know it's a long shot.... but while I'm scouring webland...thought I may as well ask on here.

You could look for oufits for the Robert Parmer Addicted To Love video (That video's insparation) but that dress is short and thin.

Yep I know Harry....thanks though!! I've studied it in great detail.... I can sort out the shirt, tie, cufflinks....but ideally I want the satin mini skirt, long satin coat, satin tophat and gloves all matching. That's where I'm getting snookered you see.

I've got a fair bit of time to get it sorted: if need be, I'll do it individually - but if there was somewhere I could get it all 'ready to go'...that would be ideal.

Failing that, it's a load of black satin material and off to the dressmakers I think. Failing all else: I'll just hire the guys with the guitars !! :)

Have you tried theatrical costumers as opposed to fancy dress hire? If you want to outfit as an all in one. Will have a word with a friend who does that sort of thing for you if you want.

Probably cheaper you look for idividual items in the long run.

Hell.... theatrical costumers... you're right - that's possibly a good call. I'll have a bash at that and see what's out there!

The all in one idea and incredibly kind - although good (but would require major toning.....am already doing the bums, tums and thighs routine - 2 months to pull it off!) - but think the individual items allows me to 'peel off' layers if it gets too hot in the clubs! (oh err!!!!).

I'm a pain though: I want all the items to be made of the satin items in 'same type/quality/shade' of satin, rather than a hash bash thing. I want the classy but provocative look !! :evilgrin: You'd never guess huh !!

Provocative means alluring, enticing - it's not the invite to shag or rape....it's purely for aesthetic purposes only: call it tantalising if you will. Look but don't touch: that type of thing. ;)

Confesses that the black thigh high boots and satin gloves are 'sorted' ;)

I also possess the white shirt and tie. I believe I still also have the 'prefects badge', ribbons for hair and long over the knee socks hiding somewhere....... but that's a whole different outfit and not for walking the streets with !!! :devil:
