Okay guys so in recent years the even series haven't been too flash, do you guys reckon this will be the case for BB12?

I always used to think of this pattern of one series every two years is good, BB7 - good BB8 - bad BB9 - good BB10 - bad, but last year sort of broke that rule so who knows what this year is going to be like aha
Hey, I might of not made it clear but....

I don't believe in the even number curse.
BB2 is quite popular and even though BB6 had some of the nastiest HMs it was an amazing series.
Anyhow, Channel 5 seem to be thinking of this as BB1 for Ch5 rather than BB12 even if the fans will call it that

I suppose with BB10 it's personal opinion. I think I'm in the minority that thought BB9 was actually a good series, not the best, but was a step back in the right direction but I thought BB10 dropped the ball. Tacky HMs on launch, the Day 4 bus ride eviction and that ******ing awful credit crunched house.
BB6 was amazing but I think it gets overlooked because it was sandwiched between the favourites, BB5 and 7. I thought BB6 was a lot better than BB7 tbh.

It's porbbaly because a lot of the forum members around now started watching it around then and a few people consider it the last great series before CBB5. IMO it started off well, actualyl gave the fans more HMs and a longer run like they'd wanted and finally delivered the house next door fans wanted plus the golden ticket thing created a great buzz at the time. Problem was the first 5 weeks were amazing but then half the HMs had left by then and the HND HMs didn;t really bring more life to it, they just sort of made it feel like it was back to square one. And then the Nikki goign bakc in twist killed it for me.
I believe a 13 week series can work if it's planned properly.

I used to think it ran in a pattern that every 4 years we would get a bad season but i sorta liked bb8

I'm more inclined to believe in a 4 year curse.
BB1 and 5 were both fresh and raw (BB5 remains my fave series btw)
BB2 and 6 were perhaps more colourful and raunchier
BB3 and 7 both upped the ante i.e. twists, number of HMs, but both were less sexy than the years before them
BB4 and 8 were let downs. 4 was dull even if in retrospect it did have some good twists but IMO 8 was awful. The only thign I think I like abotu 8 was fake week every other twist was a fail and the HMs were dislikable and OTT. Both dragged on for different reasons.
BB9 attempted to freshen up again with Sharon Powers back but it still wasn't as raw as it could have been before CBB5. Then BB10 was underwhelming cos of the credit ctrunched house, gimicky HMs, and lack of media interest. I actually liked BB11 just wish it'd let HMs argue and drink though
3,5,7,9 are great series' and 10, so odd ones, excluding 11 and +'ing 10

I think what I liked about BB11 was that the HMs were much more like the BB1-5 lot in that they were actually 'normal' and in for the experience while the tasks were still on the BB5/6 level. The problem was the HMs were reoprimanded just for raising their voices so no real arguments actually happened and the lack of booze just made it childish. It had the potential to be amazing.
Daniel Lewis started uploading BB6 so I would SO recommend it! I consider BB6 to be the first series with 'abnormal' people and wannabes but they were allowed to get away with more and it was a great follow-up to the brilliant BB5.

Tru dat. Lol
The thing with BB is it's always had some fame seekers as 5 out of the original 11 in BB1 admitted they wanted to be singers or presenters. It's just since BB6 it's been used as a platform for the glamour model and the compeltely talentless *cough* Orlaith

The BB11 Housemates were NOT normal
It was the first series, actually second [BB10 was worst] that on the launch I was like 'Woah, what a bunch of utter freaks.'

I honestly thought "What the actual ******!?!?!" when some of the BB11 HMs entered but I think if you take away the costumes some of them wore (and remember Mario's couldn't be helped) and ignore that Steve had his legs and an eye missing you'll see they were actually just normal people. Steve was just a normal guy, a 40 somethign year old dad who just happened to have no legs, while Dave didn't actually strut around in his monk costume the whole time and Corin represents a number of girls in this day and age that like their fake tans and drawn-on eyebrows. Times were different in BBs 1-5 but I think she is 'the normal' for 2010. Shabby and Sam Pepper are pehaps the 2 people that most stand out as actual wacky characters who constantly kept their appearances up (Shabby with her hat, Sam and his cap and hoodies) and were both strong almost hyper-realistic characters the way they saught attention

Fair enough yeah, you have a point about Corin actually.
Maybe infact when we look at old series and think 'Oh they were so normal compared to now'.
It's because times have changed and the majority of people now are abit wacky and out there were as before everyone was just kind of easy going and wanted a good time.
Eugh Sam Pepper, I shatter everytime I hear his name.
I use to love him last year aswell LOL.

I think that's why last year seemed normal because they did just want a good time and do it for the experience. It just still was forced and unnatural because Ch4 were scared whenever a tit was flashed or someone raised their voice. The arguments, sexual content and alcohol level are what made it seem unnatural
It's cos he threatened to sue you, right? What a twat lol. :D

BB6 was the best season and it was even.
BB11 was the worst season and it was odd.
Point officially invalid.
