That means after today the days will start getting darker again.

You wouldn't believe how happy that makes me feel! The slow decent into Christmas has begun!

I'm loving it.

It's still dark here and last week it was already light at this time..

Stu
21-06-2011, 02:54 AM
Yeah it's weird how fast it changed. A week ago it seemed even brighter than the rest of the summers. I could have walked down the street at 4 in the morning and felt non the wiser. It was bizarre.

That Earthquake in Japan shifted the Earth's axis tilt by a small fraction...

Benjamin

No, it's Roland of Gilead (Roland Deschain), the mighty gunslinger from 'The Dark Tower'.

I plan to spend the longest day in bed

Kerry

I was surprised when the weather bloke said it earlier. Even though I've always know it's around about this time of year

Thank feckerty. Sun at 4am is getting annoying now. Nevermind the bastard cockrel squarking (how do you spell what??) that I USED to find so endearing........

I'd love to not feel guilty about going to bed at 6 and waking up at 2 but I just can't do it. I can't stop the pattern but it makes me feel filthy.

you think that's bad stu? over the past month I've managed 9am-5pm. Dolly Parton would slap me.

Everyday gets shorter since you were born. It's called "the quickening".

Life begins as a tortoise and ends a cheetah. We are all in a race towards permanent darkness.

Time really does move faster the older you get though.

It can't be good long term. Melatonin release is triggered largely by darkness. It's a wank sleep.

I need to sort myself out but in this weird OCD way I feel depressed going to bed at normal people times. Especially with rays of sunshine like lostalex around.

It's like ending ... doing stuff. I'd rather stick around and do stuff instead of pack it in at 12am for a lie down.

Don't see why anyone should ever be bothered by their sleeping pattern
It causes me to be unproductive. All I can do in the morning hours is watch stuff on telly with the volume down. If I was up at dawn I'd be a veritable Rocky montage and would have gotten a bit of guitar and piano in by noon instead of waking up in the evening, watching The Simpsons for four hours, then coming online all night.

King Gizzard

Horrible having a sleeping pattern like mine because it is hard to sleep through the day when your neighbours are *****.

On one side they have about 20 kids, who bounce up and down on their trampoline screaming and shouting all day. Not exaggerating either, it is all day. From about 7am right through to about 9pm, with about an hour of silence in between.

And on the other side there are three puppys that bark all day.

Stu

Throw the puppies over into the kids back yard and let them sort each other out.

But no good beating yourself up about it really. Thats what I mean. Just makes it worse. I know cos I do the same. Stay awake at night as much as is humanly possible (for me) then waste the day. Then spend the rest thinking "I wasted the day again....." and so on. But have I? Nah. Just live it a different way.

Yup, I'd like to change stuff. But I'll never stop being a nightowl.

Oh I'm definately wasting my days. Well ... summer days. I'll be fine once I go back to Uni.

I'm liable to go crazy and do stupid things if I don't have somewhere to be.

And poison the food, too.

Microwave is the best, but i always run out of Hot Pockets after 2 days.

They should make like Hot Pockets that have vegetables and full nutrition and stuff. That would be the best.

i could live on Hot Pockets.

It's the summer solstice. The winter solstice is on 21st December, but the coldest months of the winter are frequently January and February. Don't worry, there's loads of summer to come. Well, I hope so anyway.
