The Big Brother 2 winner has been the bookies' joint favourite alongside former Big Brother's Little Brother presenter Emma Willis since Channel 5 announced their plans to reinvent the show with programme creators Endemol earlier this year.
Davina McCall, who presented the show for the 11 years it was on Channel 4, has already revealed she will not be returning to the new version and, as of yet, no names have been confirmed to host the show.
But according to Brian, 33, he has won the race and will be the one stepping into the shoes Davina made famous when the show launches this autumn.
A source close to Brian said the star told him: 'I've got the Big Brother presenting job in the bag. I'm not interested in presenting Big Brother's Little Brother.'

Brian has previously been tipped to front the show but bookies odds kept fluctuating with Emma Willis, Myleene Klass, Jeff Brazier and George Lamb all being firmly in the race as well.

However, upon hearing Brian's claims, Channel 5 have feverishly insisted they've yet to make any final decisions on who will front the show and won't be releasing the confirmed slots until nearer the launch date.

A spokesman for Channel 5 told Metro.co.uk: 'It is too early to confirm who the presenter will be for the next series of Big Brother on Channel 5 - we are looking at a number of possible names at this stage.'
It seems Brian is trying to ruffle some feathers though as he also hinted to our source that spin-off show Big Brother's Big Mouth is set to be scrapped

Hope this is true, I find him a lot more entertaining than Emma [although I like her], and I don't know...I kinda like the idea of the 'Ultimate Housemate' presenting it, it feels right. Carries a bit of the old over to the new if that makes sense, gives it some continuity.

I would love him to do it. He's well experienced in BB and as a TV presenter too. I think he'd be ideal.

As I said before though, he has denied saying it and denied knowing who is presenting.

Not the first time in 2001 when 4.3 million people voted for him.

I voted for Brian to win UBB but I certainly didn't vote for Josie to win BB11 and I know that was the case for other people too.
