Everyone’s 1st question once Big Brother had been announced to return to channel 5, Just who the hell is presenting?

We can now confirm in this World Exclusive Brian Dowling Big Brother winner in 2001 and 2010 will be presenting Big Brother with NO Co Presenter.

We can also confirm the presenter of BBLB will be Emma Willis she had been Co Host with George Lamb on the channel 4 version of BBLB, you will also see a small number of EX House mate’s also returning as ” Roving Reporters ” and one being Josie Gibson who recently did a small clip for BBLB at the weekends auditions, she also had auditioned for the part of BBLB.

Really think the main presenter needs to be a female who is a big fan of the show, and BBLB should be someone who can take the p!ss and joke about. Just seems like they have it backwards. Wouldnt have wanted anyone who was a previous housemate as a main host as i can see them being bias in the interviews, comparing it to their series and not being 100% neutral like i think Emma would have been.

The only negative thing I can say about Brian is that.. in the interviews I hope he is more serious and doesn't make things about him. I bet he will be sympathetic to the housemates hated and say things like "Give this person a break, you don't know what it's like to be cooped up in there". However.. I hope he gives a grilling to someone who is hated! lol

He's got the experience. The only ex housemate decent enough for the job. Suppose it changes things. A male host. I think Jack said somewhere it gives continuity to the show! An ex housemate hosting and all that!

I think Emma would have got the host job if she had a bit more humph!! I hope she's happy to be back on BBLB though! :)

Emma herself was not neutral when she presented BBLB. Why would Brian be biased and who would he be biased for or against?

it dosnt have to be female but i just feel a female presenter fits nicer than a male one. I find females (withoust sounding stereotpical) like to talk more and would ask more indepth questions, making the interview more of an indepth chat, whereas i think guys would make it more of a straight forward interview. I personally dont feel brian would be a great fit, but thats just my opinion. I would rather channel five used old presenters from Big Brother channel 4 or if that is not possible start a fresh and use new presenters who have had no connection with the channel 4 series. And no i didnt say Davina was never bias but someone interviewing a housemate who has done it themselves i just cant see working as they will always compare it to their own experience and in Brians case it was a whole different show back then.

we will indeed i mean its channel 5's decision and ill watch whoever it ends up being im just not a fan of the guy and think channel 5 should move away from past contestants and start a fresh. But we will see what happens, he might even prove me wrong if he did get the job and tone himself down.

Brian has presented many things over the years and i believe that if he has the job he will do us proud.Now the most important thing here is that we not only have BB back on our screens but that if we want it to stay on our tv for a long time then we need to pull together and back C5 and wait and see what they do with BB before we all complain about it.i understand some people may not agree with Brian as host but iam a strong believer that he will do a good job.C5 want BB to be a success after all.He will be very good with the crowd and he does have a very large following.

Every week he's been doing something, either the newspaper review, the Hub, etc. Last week he even did a piece on celebrity holiday resorts! ITV1 do this with people they favour at the moment so in fact Brian may be in a stronger position that it first seems.

Errrm, Brian presented SMtv live with Tess Daly on ITV1 for 19 months during which time it won 2 Baftas. He had his own series, Brian's Boyfriends which set a ratings record on ITV1. He has presented two spin off shows, one on Living and one on Sky TV. He presented SkyActive for six months with Jayne Sharpe. He was the main presenter on The Mint for the whole of its run. He has recently been co-hosting Wagons Den on RTE2. He has filled in as relief presenter on numerous shows. He has had numerous narrating jobs. He's hosted lots of live gigs, some of them pretty massive, etc etc etc
