Not a bad idea at all, but they wouldn't likely do anything solo at present, the Jedward machine needs to keep going.
They also are a power source to each other too.

No cause i cant bear them, but having said that, if they are in the house they will bring more viewers, so it will be good for BB & C5.

Well that's bollocks, I'm 14 and stay up to 4AM every night in Summer to watch Big Brother - I know loads of 14 Years old and younger that stay up well past 11PM just on a general night.

I beg to differ. Viewing figures for the Eurovision were at their highest for 12 years in Ireland. Lipstick reached number one in Ireland, Germany, Sweden and Austria. Sold out tours in Ireland and UK since leaving the X-factor. Tour planned for Germany in September after a sold out tour of Ireland just before CBB starts. New single Bad Behaviour out 1st July. Album of original songs out in August.
Don't underestimate the popularity of the Jedward. :)
And for anyone who thinks they'll be continuously hyper and annoying well you might just get a pleasant surprise. Two really lovely down to earth lads who are actually quite normal when they are John & Edward. They will win you over. :)
Other countries don't matter, it will be judged on UK ratings. And pretty sure that some parts of Ireland don't have channel 5?

Some people have always underestimated the popularity of Jedward, most people said they'd be gone and forgotten about within 6 months of the X Factor series finishing after they were in, they are still here and still even more so in demand for TV.
They will never win the people over who won't give them a fair chance and don't want to be seen as liking them at all, however I agree with all your post above.
I have seen them live twice and not one person at those concerts didn't have a great night of entertainment from them.
Jedward are true showbusiness entertainers, their career does not just revolve around getting hit records, they have in fact had 2 top 40 records in the UK and a top 20 album too.(not just one single getting to number 2), they are however raking in the millions and demand for them from the UK,Ireland(obviously) and now Europe too is ever increasing.

As far as Showbusiness goes, they certainly are one of the biggest names to come from X Factor,They have done better for themselves than Joe Mcelderry for instance and many other X Factor winners.
When they were in X Factor too, Ireland couldn't vote in it yet they lasted all those weeks still thanks to the UK votes only.
As for Eurovision, they came 8th,got credidble votes and a few top votes too, they did far better than the UK did, that's for sure.
Knock them all you like but they are a money making outfit with a strong core of dedicated followers who just love the fact they entertain and make 'some' people happier anyway.
They will be great in Celebrity BB, I also think they will do really well in it and from it too.

are you their publicist? their Mother? Louis 'sexpest' Walsh?
Either way, please stop posting hype and lies: chart peaks - Germany(12), Sweden(11), Austria(3), UK(40).
But yeah, very popular in Ireland Ill give you that. Now if only they'd just stay there...

Even though I don't have a high opinion of them and their appearance on BB11 made me cringe I'm gonna say yes because they are still talked about and could be entertaining so could be good publicity for launching BB on Channel 5.
But they do irritate me and I hope they wouldn't be like they were on BB11 all the time.

8th is not far better than 11th...its just 3 places. And, really, if you don't actually win then all other placings mean nothing.
And actually fyi Blue's song did far better in European charts; Top 10 in 7 countries compared to Jedwards Top 10 in just 3 countries. In the UK and Germany(the 2 biggest markets) Blue reached 14 and 7 respectively. Jedward 40 and 12 respectively. So lets stick to the facts.
And just to yet again show that they are nowhere near as popular in the UK as you fans like to claim, just spotted this;
http://i55.tinypic.com/23j1pjt.jpg
the p&p must be worth more than £1 so HMV are virtually paying people to take them :joker:
Nobody buys anything they sell so I'm baffled as to where their supposed millions are coming from. Louis' ass maybe?

yes they definitely have a nasty side theyve obviously been ordered to suppress. In the auditions stages of XFactor they were very rude and arrogant; singing over other people and being generally obnoxious. Then by time they'd come back for the live shows they changed completely after they'd obviously been given some coaching on how to win over the public. Suddenly they were all humble and polite. Total act.
Plus I did them a disservice earlier suggesting they got to No75 with their 2nd single.
It was actually No80.

Don't think people realise how Jedward based the show will be either, even more than the Shabby Show when she was in her prime last summer
Every task, every HL show, Jedward, and we wouldn't be able to get rid of them, 1m pounds..
The same amount of people are going to say ''Ugh Jedward, not watching then'' as the people who say''Jedward! haha! gonna be fun!''

They are teenagers, many teenagers are obnoxious, they are having a laugh and people who give them a chance and often find they quite like them after all laugh with them too.
They were not obnoxious or nasty on X Factor either at auditions or the 'live' shows, there have been loads worse and shown a lot more confidence or arraogance at auditions and been really nasty in the process.
People go on and on about the charts, they have only released 3 singles in the UK in 2 years,2 of which made the top 40, music is not the be all and end all of show business, some acts would kill for the success Jedward are having.
I for one realy like them, they make those who open up to them feel good, I have seen them 'live' twice, in Ireland and they put on a great show, and yes, they sing too.
They are 2 young lads playing the obnoxious teenagers role, they are likely not that at home, you saw in their series on TV the respect they had for their parents.
As for singing over other people at the XFactor on boot camp, a few acts weren't sure when they were supposed to come in either.A poor point.
If the criticisms of Jedward on here are all reasoned people can come up with then how very sad that is. I would go to a concert of theirs anytime and have yet to meet someone who has seen them 'live' who didn't enjoy themselves too.
I can't say that for other acts in show business.
They will cause chaos in the house, that is usually what people on here like to see on BB,also they didn't go to bed at 9pm on their fly on the wall series they had so I can't see where they will need to go to bed at 9pm every night on BB could be assumed either.
The first night they will be lucky to be even in the house for 9pm let alone gone to bed, what petty comments, hate them if you must but for goodness sake be fair too.
As I said there are acts in show business today who would do anything to be getting the attention, demand and success that Jedward have had/are having and the funds they are raking in since X Factor too.
For most on here, they likely cannot stomach that their predictions, that Jedward would be finished and forgotten about 6 months to a year after their X Factor series ended, have been proven massively wrong and were miles off the mark. They still are miles off the mark for the next 6 months to a year too and years to follow as well.

You are right, they are not malicious and they are also a lot friendlier and more approachable to their fans than so many other so called great and big stars in all areas of showbusiness are rhino.
Some people though decided from the outset they didn't get them or like them so run them down because they are proving them totally wrong by going on from strength to strength.

Exactly imo they kind of did what Rage against the Machine did, in that they stuck two fingers up to XF because they didn't just disappear as people assumed. As far as people finding them too irritating, well isn't that what makes H.M's great viewing:hugesmile:

I actually think they were given the pantomime villain verdict on the X-Factor and edited quite badly in some senses, you're telling me as a producer seeing these people who could split opinion you wouldn't capitalise on it and use them for publicity/controversy reasons for the show?;)

I dont know. On the one hand it would be interesting to see them being themselves, instead of the hyper annoying little twats they appear to be in the public eye...as noone can be like that 24/7.

I like them. They are young and very full of themselves at present, but they will likely grow out of that in time, they already seem to have matured a little since their X Factor days. They seem bright and full of energy that probably needs a lot of burning off :joker: but there is no denying they can be entertaining, even if for the wrong reasons to some :joker: Having said all that though, I wouldn't want to see them in the CBB house, I don't think they would be suited to it. Yeah, I used to hate them but they've grown on me this past while.
And they can't be all smiley 24/7, I want to see what they're really like, how other HMs would re-act to them.
Also, it will bring in loads of viewers, every girl between the ages of 8 and 14 will want to watch which will seriously boost the viewing figures - could breed a whole new generation of BB lovers.

Dont get me wrong- i dont dislike them and it would be interesting to see them in the house. They seem the most interesting of the celebs that have been rumored to be going in.

They've already been in the house :bored: And they managed to wreck it. They're not what we want for this BB :nono:

Many people tuned it to X Factor that year purely to watch them for their entertaiment purpose. Ask many people and they would struggle to tell you who won that year. That series is rememberd purely for them and i think it would be the same for BB.
For BB to have any sort of future on channel 5 it needs a good lot of housemates that will bring in ratings. If they house is full of bors ratings will dive and BB will die forever. A viewer watching purely cos of their dislike for Jedward is a viewer none the less.

I thnk in total fairness they were sent in for that 15 minutes last year to cause total chaos, it was the script,it was at the time when the housemates had to ignore all going on around them so JEDWARD went in under direction to try to force a response from one or more housemates.
Going in for a length of time will be different, I hope they are in the main their usual annoying selves, that will get reactions from other housemates which is what 'most' on here claim they like to see happen.
Just not from Jedward it seems though.

This is excellent news for the ratings all the fears for it being on Five will surely be diminished if they have Jedward and Katona, I know they might not be the most decent of housemates but they certainly will bring their cult following and image and create alot of press and viewers for the show. :)

Jedward always 'ham it up' on the tv. That's what they do it's to make sure they get noticed. Yes, they can be quite annoying but also very funny.
I've seen Jedward but I've also met John and Edward. They are the sweetest, kindhearted boys you could ever wish to meet. I've seen them with their parents and they are extremely respectful to them and to their fans. They are nothing like the x-factor tried to portray them. If you look back at the bootcamp audition it was so badly edited, I mean seriously it makes me laugh watching it back. I can't believe so many people were taken in by it.
I've seen many skeptics but I've not known one person who has come away from meeting them not won over or without a smile on their face.
Yep, they will be annoying at times but it will all be good natured.

Yeah, as long as you get a few big names in there people will watch.

Very valid points and I agree with near all of them.

Being Irish, I find them really annoying, but too see them in a Big Brother house would get people to see what they're really like.
So I think it would be really interesting.

No it will not.
Firstly, theyre only in there for a short time and its not hard to keep up an act for that long.
Secondly...WHO GIVES A FCK WHAT THEYRE REALLY LIKE? Im not interested in them, period. They have nothing whatsoever to offer me or anybody else. No talent, no use.

They pushed that lame housemate Andrew, so they are AMAZING
But srsly, the Aratas were the stars of Celeb Hijack, so sibling performers could be a great dynamic for CBB.

Lots of other people are interested in them though,I think they will be good.
you clearly will never like them Zippy so they can never win with you but many other people are looking forward to seeing them them in the house.
Also they are not by far the worst people that have previously been involved in CBB.

I really like Jedward and you don't but i'd say Les Dennis, George Galloway and Leo sayer were far from anywhere near being good or entertaining housemates just to name 3.

you're joking right?
They're 3 CBB legends as far as Im concerned. They've actually had a life and a career that people are interested in. What life have Jedward had? They have nothing interesting to say whatsoever. Or is jumping around being whacky good enough for you?

I disagree, but I was referring to them as housemates, not where they came from as to celebrity status.
George Galloway is way too full of himself, Leo Sayer had a great music career but in the house was a boring whinge who jumped over the wall very quickly, Les Dennis, again a good presenter/entertainer but in the house a moaning miserable grump.
Jedward have 'all' their life ahead of them yet Zippy, they are only 19 for goodness sake, how old were those 3 when they went in the CBB house.
You don't like Jedward on anything,I really like them, people have different likes and dislikes and that's a good thing.
However,if Jedward were to make what music critics described as the best record ever,or if they were to reach status like Ant and Dec got to and won awards,I would be really pleased for them but you would still not give them any credit whatsoever, but that is your view and your right.
