Public Funding: Private Education Scholarships Vs New IDs for Child Abusers etc.

Running off the back of two / three current threads on the main front page today.

Where would you prefer the Government allocate all those millions of pounds that they current allocate to offering new IDs to child abusers/paedophiles/child killers.

(bearing in mind, we've had quite a few in recent years: Carr, Venables, Thomson, and now possible Owen). Adds up to quite a tidy sum.

Put your votes forward please.

I think anyone who would prefer to put money towards criminals than give money towards children to give them more opportunities are mad.

Criminals have done wrong they should live with the consequences.

If it were a choice between those two then obviously the first, though I actually think it should be put towards helping victims of paedophiles

Actually, I agree... not tried this before: but I will see if I can amend the poll... it's a very valid point (and one I SHOULD have thought of tbh). :(

Easy choice for me Pyramid, the only one I wouldn't give funding to is the new identities etc, option 2,
Option 3, I would place first and option 1, I would place 2nd,

People forget sometimes not only the massive trauma of the children abused by paedophiles but aso the parents too, because sometimes they have trusted their child to someone who is one but they never knew.

Very easy choice, and what really baffles me is,that especially now when funding is being looked at all over that the areas you list,2 as to the scholarships etc, and help for victims of paedophiles likely have to battle to get those funds but the new identities etc. option is near automatic.
Even for new identities if the first one became known too.
Crazy.

For funding scholarships. For children who don't get a chance of a brighter education because they can't afford it. But are gifted academically or in sport. Etc.

Some has to be given to the victims of peadophiles as well.
