Hates all of you. It windy, very overcast - rainclouds forming and not altogether 'warm or sunny' here in bonny old Scotland. :bawling:

Try to get a grip, honestly - at least try to stop baiting and being troublesome for no real reason. It's really boring.

Have to say: the consensus is that we've probably had our summer now.:(
Haggerston Castle's a great wee place - as long as it's dry and not too cold - you should still have fun.
Enjoy if you do go. :)

Possibly, but as far as I can tell, I doubt it... given Scott's recurring theme (think the last one was about the Scots should be banned from tibbs)......

Yeah we went last year, in april. Weather was ok really but nothing to write home about. Lovely area though.
Just looking at prices now and its cheaper to go to turkey for a week...than to go to scotland/england holiday parks for 5 days. What the hell is up with that

I agree with the prices thing. When I take visitor friends to Scotland around, I'm embarrassed at the cost of the tourist attractions in comparison to other countries - not just Scotland, tends to be UK wide as you say.
Can't you do the holiday abroad (I know with kiddies, it's a whole different ball game) That's when the all inclusive deals etc, must really come into their own if you get a good hotel with good facilities for the kiddiewinkles.
Vicky.

you might have missed the obvious Patrick, I live in Scotland. You don't. That therefore, gives more weight to what I mention in respect of the weather that I exprience in the area in which I live - than you.
You don't like that - not really my problem is it?

I hate the heat, I much prefer the cold. You can just turn on the heating or put on some more clothes if it's cold but it's so much harder to stay cool in the heat.

True. Unless it's on some beautiful tropical beach somewhere (or in fact, any beautiful beach...anywhere!!).
when there does seem to be longer spells of heat in the UK .... and the availability of aircon units, that aren't really that expensive: buying an a/c to keep a room cool to retreat into, shouldn't be an issue really.

Patrick, seriously... give it a rest. Stop derailing the thread....
No mature person needs (or wants) to be in a gang. Is there any chance of putting up comments on the thread title rather than having a continual pop at other members?

Not quite...just rang up about that cheap deal..turns out its not so bloody cheap :bored:
Apparently the costs on that site are 'guidelines' and the real price would be around £250 per person just for flights.
I hate rip off sites that make you interested then do that D:

which sites have you tried Vicky? Travel republic / onthebeach and another one called A1 tend to be good (as well as the old favourite, teletext). Might be worth having a check?
I just want at least one day a weekend here to be nice and sunny....not really that much to ask for from life really !!!

I remember a few years back, having to pay something like £15 to allow me to fly OUT of Newquay airport !!! That was on top of the all the flight charges - I found that out when I went to check in for my return flight back home. Bliddy cheek!

I know I've experienced it in many places, but you tend to be aware of it (Turkey years ago used to have the same thing, as did some parts of the Caribbean...think it's called Departure Tax or something...used to be anyway)... but NEWQUAY !! lol
