I was out today (in the rain) taking pictures of the waterfall near us.

The picture is in the attachments, it was the 2nd most spectacular sight I have seen.

Yes. If you live in Scotland there is no way on earth you could say the landscape was ugly. Unless of course, you don't see much of the place.

Given that you put up a photo of a little waterfall and regard that as one of the most spectualuar things you've seen - ... therefore it simply does not equate to you stating that the Scottish landscape is ugly. Much of the landscape and views are of the very same ilk as the photo you claim to be 'spectacular'.
