I think it may be because when women have sex, they allow a man to go inside of THEM. The guy is good looking enough to be able to get this kind of permission, so he's seen as like a legend.

Uh, no. One of sex's main functions is in getting creatures to interact with one another, and to blow off anxiety and aggression. Females go after males all the time in the animal kingdom. Some even kill them after they're done mating.

As for human beings, they have evolved outside of the animal kingdom. Roles change. Women have centuries of persecution for even thinking about sex. This is what happens in a male-dominated society. Women have held the same level of power and prestige centuries ago in many societies. Unfortunately, much of this was rubbed out thanks to misogyny.

The majority of women I know, **** for the fun of it, and even have **** buddies. That was probably true once. We are animals with primal instincts, but we've evolved over a lot of years and we are evolving still. I think this whole "men are programmed to spread their seed around" is an excuse made up by men, and one that men still grimly cling to when they can't keep it in their trousers. You might as well say you’re hard-wired to drink beer and leave the toilet seat up and you’ll never have to make an excuse again.

It's been a while since men went out and killed an animal for the family to eat, and in this day and age the idea is as silly as the "men are hunters, women are nurturers" thing. We've evolved beyond it, at least in the West we have. On the other hand, I know a lot of women who are just as promiscuous as any man, just as predatory and not in the least maternal because women don't have to be any more. Women can choose whether they get pregnant because contraception is free and effective. Efective contraception is something that wasn't available to women prior to the 60s, and this along with the advance of equal rights has given us the freedom to choose whether we want a family and if so, when we want one. It's also given us the opportunity to sleep with whomever we want and to keep safe in the process.

I didn't say they were the same. I said, in a roundabout way, that the gap has closed. A couple of generations ago women had hardly any rights at all, and contraception was unheard of, but now that's changed. There are massive differences between men and women biologically and there always will be. However, just because I am in the 50% of the population that doesn't have a penis, it doesn't mean I'm an Earth Mother and I don't feel any pressure to have a child if I don't want one whereas years ago it would have been natural to expect it. There is more choice for women now, and fewer social and economic restraints... that's what I meant.

You just have to watch an episode of Geordie Shore or similar to see that males and females have the same attitude towards sex and we have evolved a long way to see this type of equality.
