Of ~100 of the potential housemates like BB11, say a week or 2 before launch, or should they all be kept hush until the day?

Keep it hush until launch night, I hate when people were like, so and so looked so much better ect.
Should all be kept secret. BB5-BB7 production should be put back into place completely for the new series.

No shortlist, just do a good job in selecting the HMs

Id like to have a shortlist but have them just enter the house normally and no 'selected' on the night like BB11.
Provides discussions and makes the build-up exciting. Also the info will be minimal so I dont see much harm, you dont have to look :D

They should keep the housemates hush hush ;)
Lol I remember last year when Josie was announced to go in first. People on this forum were like "who the **** is Josie" haha.
There might have been 1 or 2 people I liked that they actually chose. They should have read this forum and put in the people that we wanted in!! Plus 1 or 2 that they think would have been good.
It was exciting seeing the potential housemates. Reading a little fact about themselves. But never again.
It's just better that they went in 1 by 1. With a VT played before they go in.
Also.. I remember when they was walking in the house Davina says facts about them.
But she also used to say what they have in their suitcase!! lol. They should do that this time.
I remember in BB3 I think it was.. I am sure it was Kate Lawler that forgot to pack her bras. So she had 1 bra throughout her stay in Big Brother!! lol
I remember in BB8 they said Samanda packed 37 pairs of knickers or something. Can't remember if that was mentioned on launch night or BBLB.
But then when Davina said "so and so" has packed some CONDOMS! Everyone got excited. I hope housemates take in some WATER BALOONS!! If they are allowed.. lol

I dont agree that the producers should have read the forums and put the housemates we wanted in.
All we had to judge the potential housemates on was a picture so how can we judge someones personality on that?
The producers actually got to know these contestants so they obviously had a better idea of who to put in.

From BB3-BB10 I was excited when they came out of the car and you didn't know who they were and it was worth watching
BB11 made it interesting to see it happen once but I felt nothing for any of the housemates in that series up until the end, it was a boring series all-up but the tasks and design was brilliant

The biggest wasted opportunity of the shortlist in BB11 was that all of the finallists had to film videos of themselves to show to the producers, but we never got to see any of them; they should have posted them all on the website so we'd be more invested in our favourites to hope they'd get picked.

I don't want to see or kknow anything about the HMs till they get out of the limos on launch night.
Like the good old days.
Then we can boo or cheer when the VTs play.
