If you havnt got a real friend in that class it can be a bit awkard establishing yourself in a group :L

I hate that, especially when the teacher tries to assign groups and then the class says 'nooo' and he/she is like fine get into groups. And I'm like NOOOOOO . Id rather be put in a group because at least then I can blame it on the fact 'I have to be in that group'.
Then you have to stand up and do an awkward scan of the room until you find someone remotely accepting who will say yes to work with you.

I hated that so much in school, particually as not many people liked me in my early years. I can remember pressurising my Drama teacher to choose the groups in the next lesson as not many people liked me. I go some glares the lesson.

I usually sat in the same spot and waited for people to gather round me - I'm quite practical and usually got the job done alone whilst the others had a chat <3

What would your drama teacher say when you'd ask her specifically to choose the groups?
I usually never even got the chance to get grouped up, I was always sent outside because of my cheek :bored:

Wow. So you'd be generally sent outside a LOT then.

It was a 'he' but I was bullied alot then and I think he could see that I found it hard to find a group. Almost every lesson I said 'I haven't got a group' and the teacher found me a group (Usually a group that was never productive). So one lesson (at the end of the lesson) 'Can you choose the groups next lesson' and he did, though that decision was somewhat controversial and a few people were bitter towards me because of it.
I think now if I was to attend the same lesson as I am today I know that I would find a group easily, almost everyone likes/accepts me now.
