They are clearly both for big brother. And we knew it was for bbuk because it says licenced my Endemol UK somewhere on the page.

But BBUK may be aired in australia or the australian one is coming back because:
bigbrother.com.au

bigbrother.com.au has pointed to bigbrother.com since about a month after Big Brother Australia was axed.

I think this is jumping to conclusions - as Richard said all the other pages say channel5.com/bigbrother.

Live streaming will probably go on 1, news on the other, either that or bigbrother.com will just redirect to c5's site.

But BBUK may be aired in australia or the australian one is coming back because:
bigbrother.com.au

bigbrother.com.au showed bigbrother.com before BBUK was axed so doubt it (plus bigbrother.com.au doesn't work anymore).

As I said, I think both are for BBUK, bigbrother.com has Endemol UK at the bottom rather than Endemol (though both are the world company's HQ's tho) and how would C4 know about it? They don't read BB's forums anymore. I think bigbrother.com will redirect to channel5.com/bigbrother and they'll mention bigbrother.com on the shows instead.

I think the bigbrother.com may have been created because possibly channel 5's website server probably cant cope with live feed and the amount of people watching it.

So I dont think they would have brought the domain just to redirect people.

I reckon the channel 5 website will be for news and scheduling
Bigbrother.com will be for media I think. Or maybe a way to vote online.

I think it's always been UK based - when BB was on Channel 4 it was a global website, but it used the Channel 4 font and linked to all sorts of BBUK betting games:

I'm not saying it won't be a UK website but given its history it's not exactly safe to say it will be.

But the coming soon page launched less than a week after C5 bought BB and originally was going to be an auditions site (the source code had a comment saying it was), the auditions site got it's own domain (registered the same week) and would c4 link to it without knowing it was for BBUK themselves?

Of course it's for BBUK.

I think it's fairly obvious both will be used in some way. Channel 5's site will be home to news and catch up, while I imagine bb.com will be live feed and more endemol controlled.

I can't imagine two websites will be used. That sounds absurd.

/bigbrother will be the site I imagine. The .com is just Endemol's own holding page that will probably redirect once the show starts or just sit there and have basic information about the show format.

They said this series would be more interactive than usual and as I said it went up around the same time as the UK auditions domain got registered so I think bigbrother.com will be for that side of the UK show. Either that or as you said redirect to it. (But why would they make a coming soon page for a redirect?)

I expect that the first one is the website for endemol to use and edit and the ohter one os for C5 - that's all.
