We need to bring in viewers who don't usually watch it. Having Brian present would please some of the usual Big Brother viewers but if we think about it, no one would suddenly decide to watch the show because of him being involved. As big of a name as possible to present.

You might be right, but why would he say very soon at lunch time on Sunday if it wasn't happening till 6pm next Thursday? He's not said this on the official daily star twitter feed, it's his personal accouint, and he's a fan.

I don't understand people who say they won't watch because of the presenter, I mean, they are there for about 1 hour every week. It hardly affects the show that much.

Technically, there still is, only a small percentage of BB viewers watch the LF.
Admittedly I do, so I want it back, but it's hardly the end of the world for C5 if they don't add it.

Channel 5 and The Daily Star are owned by the same company though so it's pretty obvious that the DS will get the big exclusives first - especially when their top TV writer is hinting at when to expect announcements

It wouldn't surprise me if the Daily Star website got more hits than C5's.
