It's a nice idea but:

a) What will do this do for the fundraising aspect of the show? They have to make money somehow surely (ignoring sponsors)
b) Anyone could create hundreds of fake accounts to rig it - but then people could phone hundreds of times anyway.

They're not free - German votes are priced at 7 Facebook Credits each, which cost €0.49 or £0.44

Nice idea I guess, but I don't like it for some reason. Even though any problem with it kind of goes for normal phone voting anyway.

I think it's cos you'd know who was the most popular out of a lot of fans. I know the favourite is obvious usually anyway but at least we don't have exact numbers for that. And you'd know who would be evicted.

Sky1's Got To Dance had a better idea IMO - they released an iPhone app which allowed users to buy votes as an in-app purchase. The obvious advantage of that is that a lot of iTunes Store accounts already have payment methods set up.

Thats a good point im not sure they would be able to restrict voting by location if it had to be done via facebook and im not sure they would mind too much.
Im not sure but i think the only reason they have uk only voting when it is phone voting only is because they have to tell you how much it will cost to vote and the cost of voting via phones varys so much.
That wouldnt be a problem with voting online so who knows.

Its a nice idea but it waters down the whole voting thing a lot imo and as Shaun already pointed out, the show garners a lot of money via the voting lines. I'd much rather see the text to vote system be resurrected.

they could maybe give you a special password and once you have used it once thats it for that eviction. So no fake accounts could be used.:nono: but then again theres nothing stopping people making fake accounts either is there and getting another password?:conf: oh i dont no if they can do it good luck to them. :whistle:

People can vote multiple times over the phone so why shouldn't they be able to on Facebook? Bear in mind that the votes are charged using Facebook Credits, which cost real money, so it's not free.
