No Idea what to think about this:

On Sunday speculation about the application that will allow viewers to buy credits and use them to vote online via facebook has now been confirmed.

Channel 5 digital director James Tatam told new media age that:
"Facebook voting represents only part of the overall social media and digital strategy for the show, which will include video footage on the shows Facebook page, along with real-time news and video updates."

The live stream will not be this series, instead their will be a constant stream of video highlights, which will be available on both the main website and Facebook.

Tatam continues:
“We want a lot of the content to be on Facebook. Putting real-time news and video updates alongside the ability to vote should be really powerful,”

The show is also in contact with Youtube to extend its video content.

Channel 5 is yet to determine a price for voting credits on facebook.

The Big Brother Hub has no comments about these quotes.

I wouldn't be too quick to believe this.

There is no reputable source, and also, at no point does Tatam say anything about live stream, so it is unclear where BBH have gotten the info that live stream will not return.

Previously it had mooted providing live 24-hour streaming via its website, but Tatam said it has shelved this idea in favour of a constant stream of video highlights, which will be available on both the main website and Facebook.

Its a stupid idea if they do axe the live stream :/

It doesn't say anything about live stream being confirmed, so why have you made this misleading title?

BigBrotherHub

Could be considered misleading, but it isn't suppose to be, I don't know heh? Ill be hacking mobile phones and deleting messages next... :P

Never heard of that site + saying they'll just put videos up instead of LF is bull**** because C4 always did that as well as live.

Lets just wait until C5 confirm.

Well anyways Ive changed the title to avoid confusion :)

Bit pathetic if they do that. I don't use Facebook, so would rather watch 24/7 live streaming on TV or another website rather than video clips on that horrible place.

Correct me if i'm wrong but was it not the daily star who claimed having no live feed killed big brother because the press couldn't report on what had been happening in the house? Bit stupid really i'd of thought channel 5 would need all the press they can get.

"constant stream of video highlights"

FFS! There would be the same amount of compliance and staff running that, why not just give us a stream you b*st**ds?

Not bothered about the new series now.

If they do go ahead with it thank god its only CBB, they will probably learn their mistake and do the live stream for BB

Just read the original article, it actually hints there will be a stream but on YouTube, they're apparently in talks with them:

Channel 5 is to use Facebook as a voting platform for reality show Big Brother for the first time.

The broadcaster is working with show producer Endemol, Facebook and mobile agency Mobile Interactive Group to develop a Facebook app that lets viewers vote for the contestants they want to leave the Big Brother house, using the social networkąs Credits payment system.

Viewers can purchase votes using Facebook Credits to use on either their laptops or smartphones. Channel 5, which bought the rights to broadcast Big Brother after ten years at Channel 4, is yet to determine pricing.

Facebook wonąt be the only voting mechanism, according to Tatam, but will be one of several on devices yet to be confirmed. Itąs also in talks with YouTube to extend the use of the platform beyond video content for Big Brother. It has also launched its first Big Brother Twitter feed.

At least that's how I read it, might just mean news and picture content too .

Until C5 confirm outright there is no live feed then I will take this story with a heap of salt.

There's been no actual confirmation on the live feed not being broadcast.

Someone on DS mentioned that BB France had a Daily Motion live feed last year, perhaps Endemol UK are copying that with youtube? Hope so as I doubt I'll watch without the live feed.

That's what I mean. I doesn't. Just says there won't be live stream on the net. Nothing about no live stream not being broadcast.

To be honest, that view of this news is a little naive...

This is pretty much 99% confirmation that Live Feed is axed.

According to twitter after channel 5 were bombarded with complaints at the "no live feed" they are discussing other ways to broadcast live feed to please fans including the hub ( i think) where we get free online streaming and are able to discuss big brother, if this does happen i think a lot of Tibb members may move to the official "hub forum"
