View Full Version : Would you want a more simplistic BB?

In the sense of simplistic I mean, no spin off shows or gimmicks that we've seen on the C4 seasons in the past few years. I also mean nobody entering the house from the outside along with the omission of tokens, etc.
Imo I think it'd be a refreshing change for the show and would give it a less tacky feel.
Thoughts? :)
Yes, that's exactly what I want!

I must be the average fan's worst nightmare..I like the tasks and general banter more than all the boozing up and fighting..
(completely unrelated but who cares)

I don't want it to be too simplistic but I also don't want it to be crazy.
Let's be honest, it's no longer a 'social experiment' is it? Those days are long gone, and the reputation it's got nowadays and the people who now want to go on the show means it can't really ever go back to being that simple.
I want some twists to keep it interesting and to keep me watching. Maybe a new housemate every now and then, a secret eviction or whatever. I don't want LOADS of twists though, just things to keep the show flowing throughout its run and to prevent it from becoming stale.

The more simplistic is it the more its like The Real World so yes
if i had my way there would be 3 highlights shows a week and 1 eviction show.

Yes, that's exactly what I want!
I'm with you on this, all the gimmicks and other variations of the original idea are the reason it went downhill.
I am a fan of BB so will watch it no matter what anyway.

It needs to find a medium.

I really liked the token thing... I hope they bring them back, along with the spin-off shows. So basically no, I don't agree with you.

I like the tokens, never did find anything wrong with them.
I dont care for the outside world getting involved ermm....people coming in for visits, HMs doing stupid routines outside in front of the crowd, bus tours, HMs being allowed to basically piss all over big brother and have no action taken towards them except a slap on the wrist. I basically dont care to watch BB10 or 11 all over again. Put Big Brother back in control of this program, & not the HMs or fans.
Ive said in the past to go back to basics. Maybe not bare bones basic but, make them actually do something for their shopping & other stuff. An actual task that lasts longer than a day or two. When they fail a task dont be soft on them and give them a special meal for whatever reason.
& im always going to say this but copy the AU show with the noming. I cant stand the fact that HMs in the UK can nom for stupid reasons or for someone else. You are noming for yourself not 1/2 of the house. I nom "so & so" cause they are really missing their family. Sorry those arent real reasons.
my opinion.

Yeah, I finished BB5 not to long ago and it was weird how everything was just straight forward, no stupid twists happening every week it was just simple they'd have their weekly task to do and they'd nominate that was all. All other entertainment came from the housemates not horrible gimmicks set up by BB.

Purist.
I'd like it to be made more interesting and intriguing. Which means keeping it simple. No outside guests showing up.
No mid-season people.
Whoever enters on Day 1 is the crew and until they are evicted they never see or hear anything from the outside world.
Don't need any special 'free pass' tokens or 'immunity schemes'.
Makes it more interesting.
Would love (but no high hopes) but love to see Big Brother back in control and get serious about ejecting people who won't cooperate.
but for sure - a simple and pure BB would be refreshing indeed!

Not really, I'd like a decent BBBM & BBLB, but I agree with no outside people, and only new people replacing walkers. It just needs to be simple tbh, but not so boringly simple.

and the one thing that's got to be done: if any housemate even utters under their breathe that they are going to walk: they are removed. Fed up to the back teeth of these idiots banging on about how many times they auditioned, desperate to get on, then spend the time threatning to go - or then leave, having cost someone else a place.
One word - and boot them out.
