I only watched it on BB11. It was good, yeah, but I wasn't amazed by it. It didn't change my opinion of the show in any way. Live feed or no live feed, i'd probably enjoy the series just as much.

People who watch live feed tend to have different 'faves' than people who only watch the highlights. This is because the editing is disgraceful and biased.

Without live feed, they can pretty much script the show to play out whatever storyline they like :/

And also, look how much discussion live feed got going for BB11. We could watch the show in more depth and those who didnt see any found out a lot more than casual viewers from threads made.

I think live feed ruins the highlight shows as you already know if something big has happened.

If you watch the highlights show you'll never know if something big has happened!

Loads of big things in the past that have been shown on the live feed and edited out of the main show.

LF is fun :)
Editing was terrible last year for the highlight shows so I was glad to watch LF at night and watched the actual best bits of BB11 :)

Most of live feed was censored or concentrates on a bb romance . Usually boring unless a argument erupts and thats usually aired on main show.

Never all of it though, sometimes the most important actions are not shown so they can show people in the light they want..

Not that Im a massive LF watcher, but I had a nose at least once a day or whenever a thread was made stating some sh!t was going down

It's a far more exciting, satisfying experience watching it happen live and seeing the full thing along with all the little elements that led up to it though. All those little nuances make the feed compelling in a really boring kind of way.

I get that it's complete marmite but it gave you an experience that was unique to Big Brother. The show will be hollow without it.

I personally prefer to watch LF, than HL's i will be really gutted if they dont have LF in some way.

I don't watch it much but I like to have it on when I'm bored. I loved watching it during the night when people were about just talking, there was a fairly big Late night crew on TiBB in the live feed thread

and the fact that it allows them to manipulate the story, so the thing we're being showed is probably not what's actually happening in the house

Lived without it on BB11 and thoroughly enjoyed it, but the one bit of LF I watched on E4 (entire nasty nominations, except there were ****ing ad breaks through it) was so much better than the crappy quick version on the HL show. It was so different, but I never bothered with any more LF.

So I was mega excited for it this year, only to be let down. :bored:

Well tbh I couldn't watch online anyway due to slow internet, so I'm still hoping 5* turns into a near-24/7 LF channel :joker: It won't but I'm gonna pray it does.

Some of the shows, live feed was absolutely critical to get a real feel of what was actually going on: when you watched live feed, then watched the highlights: it was obvious how much editing is done to suit.

Obviously it depends on the individual shows: but overall yes, it makes a huge difference in what is actaully happening, and what is or is not shown in the highlights.

I guess I'll live without LF, since I'll be busy mostly this Autumn anyway, but even so it would've been nice to have LF available. I don't care about the editing really, I just watch for entertainment, I never get that fussed with the HMs unless I really like them.

I only watched it religiously during BB3 and 4 and think I went off it because of BB4 but I liked to dip in and out of it if there wasn't much else on and I completely understand why people want to watch it as it happens and less edited. It affects how viewers relate to the contestants and how much press coverage the show gets

Not gonna lie I had a free pass for LF last year and hardly watched it but its the principal that people can watch it if they want. That we can see whats really going on away from the editing of the HL shows.

I can tell why its a big deal to some.

The live feed isnt important. The only people who miss the live feed are the die hard fans who have the time to sit there and watch it 24/7

With the live feed you have 24 hours of action per day to discuss.

Without it you have 45 minutes.

Now which is better for the forum?

I do think Live Feed is essential as it is needed to get a bigger reaction from people...

One housemate could be the most hated person in the house but Big Brother can edit it and make them out to be lovely... like they did with Carole and David.

Totally agree with both these points, LF is essential part of BB.

I didn't watch a whole lot of it tbh but I used to look forward to watching the aftermath of an eviction on a Friday night live. I watched Fight night live (till it got cut off) and like others said it gives a better idea of what the HMs are actually like and is what separated it (imo) from all the other easily manipulatable reality shows.

But what are we "no-lifers" to do if there is no live feed? Surely you don't expect us to go outside or talk to people? Do you?

No you are not the only one, I would prefer the option to have it but wouldn't lose any sleep if live feed was missing and would still watch BB avidly.
