If a mod was to start insulting a member would they get infracted/banned? And if they were banned would they then be removed as a moderator?

An has a mod ever been banned before, when they were a mod?

I believe your question was answered Pyramid, don't make it sound so sinister :nono: Admin can see everything we do and can de-mod or ban us if they think we're not doing our jobs properly or are being insulting.

I didn't suggest my question was not answered. I was more putting over the point that it led to more than just a discussion - and this thread could (could) go the same way.

It was not a dig at mods... it was more letting the other posters be aware that it might up in tears - and that putting it up on the forum might not perhaps be the best way - as it will end up in others jumping on the mods - as quite a few seem to be doing already. En masse jumping on a mod.

That's irrelevant. If a mod is seeing another person being insulted on a daily basis and allows it to continue....what is the point of having any rules at all? :conf:

On another forum I'm on the Mods are subject to the same rules as members; they can be warned, infracted and banned and things are changed around quite often with Mods being replaced if they do go too far. It would be good if it was the same here although I don't think it's that big a deal, the Mods here are generally pretty good

Unfortunately the default insults to members infraction lasts only 10 days(which is why I tend to make customs, for more points and that last longer). *hopefully* the infraction system will be made over before BB starts, and people can get away with a LOT less. I think we are way too soft right now...and I know not many will agree with me, but its true.

In fairness; I don't think you lot have an overeasy job when it's left to giving 'your own' (not necessarily you personally( individual 'infraction levels' etc - and I think that's possibly where some of the gripes might be arising?

I guess it's one of those roles that a lot of the time, you can't do right for doing wrong. :)

See this is where theres bound to be problems, its all really about perception. Some will pick up on things others dont etc,etc. But theres no way around that unless you employ a bunch of robots or something :laugh:
