Yeah, I think I read somewhere Beady Eye are planning to release a second album this year too, presumably around the same time as Noel's. I think fans of Oasis would like to see both do well but, from a music standpoint, Noel is the more likeable and the more talented one. So yeah, I'd put my money on him too.

I always preferred Liam in Oasis but Noel sang my favourite of their songs, he's a good voice, he'd be well able. I suppose Liam's such a strong front man he mustn't have felt as confident

He also confirmed that the first show would be in Dublin on October 23 and that the tour would take in Manchester, London and Glasgow.

Noel Gallagher has insisted that he will continue to play Oasis songs when he goes on tour with his new band later this year.

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds today revealed that they would be touring the UK following the release of their self-titled debut album on October 17.

When asked at the press conference whether he would include Oasis songs as part of the set, Gallagher responded: "I'll never do a gig without playing them, they're like drugs to me."

Oasis split back in 2009 after Gallagher had a row with his brother Liam just before a festival appearance in Paris.

Liam Gallagher has since gone on to form Beady Eye, who reached number three on the UK album chart with their debut record Different Gear, Still Speeding back in March.

Beady Eye have said that they will never include Oasis songs as part of their live sets, despite fans' requests for them to do so.

Iceman

Noel Gallagher has explained the reasons behind Oasis' split in 2009 just before they were about to appear at a music festival in Paris.

Speaking at a press conference earlier today, which was held to launch his new band Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, the 44-year-old musician responded to questions about Oasis' split and gave an insight into how it came about.

Noel said: ''I never had enough of Oasis, I had enough of [Liam] and our relationship but it was never as bad as people made out.

"It all unravelled when he started his clothing line and wanted to advertise it on our tour and I didn't agree with that.''

Noel added of their argument in Paris: ''After Liam's violent outburst in the dressing room I just thought 'I'm out of here'. I got in a car and left that show.

"If I could go back and do those two shows we had left on that tour I would have done them. We may never have split up, we may have all just gone on a hiatus to do our own thing.

"I mastered my role in that band. Liam just doesn't like me in a violent way... I did everyone a favour."

Following the press conference this afternoon, Liam took to Twitter to simply post "s**tbag" after stories of Noel speaking about the Oasis split started to appear online.

Can't bloody wait. I knew roughly what to expect from Beady Eye but Noel, well you just don't know what you're going to get.

Is there a list of tour dates yet? Hope he plays in Scotland, if not then I'll just have to go to one of the gigs in England.

Just noticed that the last song on the album is called 'Stop the Clocks'. The same name as Oasis' first greatest hits album. I am a huge Oasis fan but if it turns out to be a battle between Beady Eye and Noel, which is looking increasingly likely, I amn't taking a side, Liam is a legend for unique personality and his genius at playing the front-man role. Noel is god for his lyrics and his down-to-earth way of approaching everything.

Let the battle commence, I'll enjoy every bit of it :)

Live Forever!

He's only given a date for Dublin, the first gig, which was the 23rd October if iirc.

Other than that he hasn't really confirmed what other venues he's playing except 'the main ones you'd expect' and listed London, Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh as examples. So yeah, you'll get some in Scotland.

Liam Gallagher has admitted that he is heartbroken over his brother Noel's "lies" about the breakup of Oasis.

The former band's frontman revealed that he is upset that he is blamed for the group's split, after Noel claimed their demise began after Liam was too hungover to perform at 2009's V Festival.

"Those are big lies that I've got to clear up, the first one about me being hungover - I got diagnosed with laryngitis for the V festival, wasn't hungover," he told BBC Radio 1.

"I do gigs when I've been hungover, I'm a big boy. I'm not going to cancel a gig because I've got a headache."

Addressing rumours that the split was over advertising for Liam's Pretty Green clothing line, he insisted: "Them words, Pretty Green, have never come out of my mouth [to] Noel Gallagher. Ever.

"So all this about him saying I tried to get Pretty Green in an advertisement or Oasis tour programme is absolute s**t, saying it was the demise of Oasis, I'm not having it."

"He needs to know there's to blame for Oasis splitting up and one of them is sitting here right now talking, and the other one's Noel Gallagher," he continued. "It's time he woke up man, he's no angel. He's breaking my heart."

Liam, who now fronts rock band Beady Eye, also insisted that he would fight his brother "verbally, physically, musically and mentally" over his claims, adding: "I don't play games. Competition is for idiots. As long as we are taking care of our business, we'll roast anyone."

Noel recently announced news of his new band and album, called Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, which is released in October.

Noel Gallagher has admitted that he found it hard starting a solo career.

The former Oasis member revealed that following the band's split in 2009, he hated the idea of starting from square one again at age 42.

"I was at a party two summers ago, when Oasis had split, and Richard Ashcroft was there. He said, 'I bet it's a relief'. I said, 'No, actually it's a ******ing pain in the arse'," he told Q magazine.

"[Ashcroft] said, 'I remember The Verve, when I left it was relief'. I said, 'I don't give a ****** about The Verve. I've got to start again from scratch'."

Gallagher continued: "I was 42 at the time. I'm not a frontman, now I have to be the guy up front giving it all the jazz hands.

"I've been with a band with a great frontman, and I was a great guitarist and backing vocalist who chirped in with the odd funny quip. It was perfect."

He added: "This is just a major pain in the b*llocks. But I'm getting used to the idea."

Liam Gallagher has again branded his brother Noel a liar.

The Beady Eye frontman former Oasis bandmate Noel Gallagher for lying about the reason they parted ways in 2009 during his press conference earlier this month.

"I just know he lies. Noel wasn't bullied out of the band," Liam told MTV.

"And then he writes a statement like that saying, 'Oh, I've been bullied out of the band', and management and all that, and two days later, the people he reckons bullied him, and the people who weren't listening to his little sob story, were around at his house having tea on his lawn."

The singer added: "I'm just disappointed for him, and his fans... I have my [bad days] but Noel Gallagher can be a little bitch when he wants to be."

I'm really liking 'The Death Of You And Me', more of the same please.

I've also read that Noel stated in an interview that he has already got his 3rd album ready. Most of us know that Noel wrote many lost songs for Oasis that came to nothing, I think he may have a few up his sleeve that he'll stick on the 1st and 3rd albums, I'm so into 'Stop The Clocks' at the moment can't wait to hear that on the album.

Also, as a side-note, listen to Beady Eye's B-side to 'The Beat Goes On' and tell me how this didn't make the album? They better make an album made of B-sides in a few years time like Oasis did with 'The Masterplan'.

Yep tomorrow at 9am, I'm trying my hardest to get a ticket for the Usher Hall gig, going for the standing area but I think £36 is a bit steep, but I'll pay it anyway.

Yeah seems it really, Oasis were £35 when I went to see them. But I guess it will be worth it

Yeah, as long as he plays a fair few Oasis songs, Don't Look Back In Anger is my favourite song of all time would be my dream for him to play that!

Been watching it the whole time, he said it is a FACT that Liam did have an illness when they were supposted to headling the V Festival in 2009, so why did Noel claim it was just a hangover? I'm not trying to catch him out just a bit confused about that...

Round 2

Liam Gallagher is still threatening to sue his older brother Noel Gallagher.

The former Oasis bandmates are engaged in a legal battle over Noel blaming Liam's "hangover" for their decision to pull out of V Festival 2009, which ultimately led to the group's split.

Noel confirmed last week that his brother was suing him over the comments, saying it was all "very silly", but reports later said that the case had been dropped.

However, talking to Radio 1 Newsbeat today, Liam said: "It's not over yet."

The Beady Eye frontman continued: "There are a few things which need to be sorted out. I didn't want this to happen. It's not nice suing your family but like I said, he was telling porkies for the sake of his mates and journalists to get a wise crack on me.

"If he listens to his lawyers and does the right thing then it'll be well and truly over. I never wanted it to happen but it has to happen."

Apologies... 'If I Had A Gun' is the next single out in the USA I think.

The next single out in UK is 'AKA... What A Life"

This is the radio edit, the album version should be 3 seconds longer with a guitar solo...
