OK, I understand that text speech is quite difficult for the older generation to understand, but don't you think capital letters is going a bit too far?

Vicky.

Theres always been a no caps rule here...since the forum opened.

I dont really get why people would want to type all in capitals anyways :/

I know, but having CAPITAL LETTERS for EVERY single noun is ridiculous, IMO. And here's somebody who's studying advanced English.

And its not nouns its only proper nouns.
People, Places, Names ect

For example:
apple - no need for capital letter
London - needs capital letter.
shop- no need
James- need

Well done on the pointless moan thread though. You know damn well nobody is going to get warned just for not capatalising so why complain about it?

The amount of language transgressions that get excused here is unreal.

There's always the possibility that the 'older generation' have degrees in English, you know. Which would wee all over your GCSE :joker:Text speech isn't 'difficult' for anyone. It's irritating, lazy and boring. I'm astonished that anyone on TIBB could complain that the moderation in relation to the English language is too strict. It seems virtually non-existent to me.
