CBS was back in action with new Big Brother and the one hour premiere was enough for CBS to take the night both with adults 18-49 and total viewers, and was the night’s top program by a wide margin. The premiere was up across the board from last year, up 8% in adults 18-49 to a 2.7 rating, up 5% with adults 18-34, up 14% with adults 25-54 and up 5% in total viewers to 7.71 million.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that's the highest rating season premiere since at least BB8?

Vladimir
08-07-2011, 05:01 PM
^You're right. :)

It was the best premiere in households and adults 18-49 since season 8 in 2007; in adults 18-34 since season 7 in 2006 and in both viewers and adults 25-54 since season 6 in 2005.

Great ratings, I could tell they were going to be good because Jeff & Jordan and Rachel & Brendon were trending for a while on Twitter.

I think people are confused by the schedule because normally there aren't two episodes 2 days in a row.

BBfanUSA

last year was two episodes days in a row at the same time (7/8c) last year this year evictions are at 8/9c here in the states because they show reruns of a popular show here called the big bang theory here and a crap sitcom

These numbers are great! :D

Macie Lightfoot

Yeah even if the numbers are slightly down from the first week (which always happens. Premieres draw more viewers, it's a fact), it's still winning it's time slot consistently.

With a 3.1 adults 18-49 rating, Big Brother was up 11% and saw season highs (on any night) and hit season highs in adults 18-34 as well. It was Big Brother’s best performance in adults 18-49 since September 18, 2007 (the Tuesday finale for that cycle).

Fast Forward nights are always the best episodes. I think even though the numbers will go down, they will still be better than last year, cause last year's final weeks were soo boring because the Brigade were unstoppable at that point. The final weeks are definitely going to be better than last hyears final weeks.

Also i think people will look forward to seeing the Jury House footage that they will start showing soon.

Even without NFL pre-season or substantial MTV competition like last Sunday, Big Brother ratings slid from last week's 3.0 adults 18-49 rating to a 2.3/2.4 rating.

No, it's definitely Jeff. He will probably win America's Favorite Juror too

These ratings mean Jeff will be in season 14. And he won't be able to be voted off till the final three in a special twist.

While people like Jordan, I think Jeff is more popular than her with the casual fans.

Big Brother USA has alot of connections to 9/11. Monica on bb2 had a relative that died (was missing at the time) and Enzo worked somewhere nearby in the NYC area and could see it. And the incident was revealed to the final 3 hgs on the same day on BB2

Great news, I hope it's a cast of newbies next year who really want to play the game and not be scared to make game moves. I wonder what it would be like without Julie Chen hosting, I can't see her sticking around for many more seasons really. I don't think it would be the same without her though.

Woo, BBUSA does so amaze:D Well it is probably better than the UK version. But this season has been good, but it has alot of faults. so in otherwords average lol. Danielle leaving early & some of the twists made it uneven and not as intereting.
