By the sounds of what Lea is saying he just needs some time to himself.

Deep down he is finding the whole experience quite hard.

Apparently he dumped her before being whisked off abroad and now i think hes regretting it.

Good job he did with all the hugging going on, I think he is feeling upset at how she is feeling maybe or wondering if she has sold any stories.
