I've been away for a little while and haven't really been posting on here but i was expecting to come on here and this place be buzzing with info about the new show. Isn't it suppose to start in a couple of weeks. This is crazy we haven't heard anything yet. Anyone know when we will ?????

Me too. I came on today expecting some kind of information. Confirmation on the hosts at the very least but just nothing.

Maybe it's a sign that BB on channel 5 will just be there. Not really in the media spotlight, just exists and no one gives it any attention.

Not sure why everyone is getting worked up about, the new X Factor judges were revealed days before they started, the Xtra Factor host a day before the show started filming; and that's the UK's biggest show. Leaving it to the last minute can build up hype, it's just a matter of making sure the hype doesn't get so much as to make the eventual announcement underwhelming.

But they did get rid of the three most popular judges (Poor Louis!), a huge change for the show that they left until the last minute to announce. There's still a month to Big Brother is back on Channel 5. No need to worry unless we're in the same position two weeks from launch (which we won't be as TV schedules work on 3 weeks ahead so we'll know more next week)

Yes i know they changed presenters but people dont know big brother is back, if they arent expecting it to come back, they arent gonna tune in to channel 5 to watch are they

They can't tune in now anyway, so I'm not sure what use it would be tell them. Advertising will start three weeks before launch with "Coming soon" ads before changing tot he actual date two weeks before launch. It's all very standard across networks and broadcasters.

There's little point advertising anymore than 3 weeks in advance, it's just a waste of money.
