View Full Version : The Sun website hacked

The Sun's website has been hacked - it currently redirects to a fake page reporting on Rupert Murdoch's suicide

See it for yourself (while you can): http://www.thesun.co.uk

If it doesn't work, here's the direct link to the fake page: http://www.new-times.co.uk/sun/

EDIT: That's down, so here's the article:

Rupert Murdoch, the controversial media mogul, has reportedly been found dead in his garden, police announce.

Murdoch, aged 80, has said to have ingested a large quantity of palladium before stumbling into his famous topiary garden late last night, passing out in the early hours of the morning.

"We found the chemicals sitting beside a kitchen table, recently cooked," one officer states. "From what we can gather, Murdoch melted and consumed large quantities of it before exiting into his garden."

Authorities would not comment on whether this was a planned suicide, though the general consensus among locals and unnamed sources is that this is the case.

One detective elaborates. "Officers on the scene report a broken glass, a box of vintage wine, and what seems to be a family album strewn across the floor, containing images from days gone by; some containing handpainted portraits of Murdoch in his early days, donning a top hat and monocle."

Another officer reveals that Murdoch was found slumped over a particularly large garden hedge fashioned into a galloping horse. "His favourite", a butler, Davidson, reports.

Butler Davidson has since been taken into custody for additional questioning.

I don't think in the current climate they should be allowed to.They should not now be able to profit further from closing the News of the orld then extending the horrendous Sun into Sunday too.

A fellow student said to me that there is already a Sunday Sun but it's a North East paper.

They'd be stupid to anyway. It'll get ripped (and hacked lol) to shreds. Probably quite literally

Lulzsec have decided to come out to play again up until about half an hour ago the s*n newspaper website was redirecting to @Lulzsecs twitter page and then to a mocked up s*n news item claiming that murdoch had being found dead in his garden after ingesting a large amount of chemicals.

http://regmedia.co.uk/2011/07/18/hack_murdoch_large.jpg

The news article was also showing on the times website before Lulzsec claimed to have taken control of the whole bank of servers over 1000 servers that store and handle all of murdochs newspaper websites they then pulled the plug on all of them leaving only the s*n website operational but redirecting to the fake news article the s*n website seems to have been restored everything else is still down.

When someone gets arrested it's probably down to Lulzsec dobbing them up cause they've done something wrong
