I don't get why there are making another film showing him becoming Spider Man..?

The whole tone of the movie seems a lot darker

I suspect since Batman's gone all dark and Nolany, they tried to emulate that. I mean Tobey Maguire is about as threatening as oxtail soup.

Why do they keep rebooting these series over and over again? Find a new story Hollywood.

It looks promising, I love Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield.

Only one man can get darker... and Mr. Burton isn't available.

Looks rather good but I don't see it why it needed to be rebooted. The third one wasn't amazing but I didn't hate it neither.

Sam Raimi ran it into the ground and messed up three potentially good villains in the third film. I don't mind a reboot at all.

Tim Burton? Dark? He's basically Disney between the hours of 7pm and 9pm. "ooooh we're weird, we've had a bit too much fizzy drink, hehehehe". **** off.

I've always preferred the Batman films a lot more then the Spiderman films ( Probably not Batman and Robin though that was awful ) they focus to much on his relationship with Mary Jane in spiderman it's not suppose to be a love story :bored:

Totally agree with that :joker:

I was against this film, but this looks really promising, a totally different tone to the Spiderman films

Also 'The Amazing Spider-Man' is actually the title of the original comics

Does this film make out that spider man was spider man since a child? I'm confused.

The action all looks great and all that but the actor doesn't look right IMO

I think it looks really good

It looks like it could outdo the Raimi, not that it would be difficult to do so considering SM3.

Just watched this. It was hugely disappointing. Totally average. Garfield and Stone are lovely, as predicted, but there was nothing interesting about the story or new to the Spiderman 'mythology' or whatever.

went to see it at the weekend, I wouldn't say it was "Amazing" but it was pretty good, way prefer Andrew Garfield as Spiderman than Toby Maguire, I really dislike Toby Maguire

Shaun

yeah Andrew > Tobey, but at the same time I thought Andrew's version was much less likeable... he seemed a bit of a dickhead.

Then again, at least he didn't turn emo and start dancing like in Spiderman 3 :bored:

I'm just being shallow tbh, Tobeys face annoys me so much

Shaun

same :blush2: Andrew is so pretty. Moreso as Peter Parker than as Spidey

Toby was a great Spidey. This won't be the same, but I'll still watch it online because im a Spiderman fanboy.

I thought it was excellent, Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are infinitely better then Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst were and aside from a crappy villain I really enjoyed it. I liked the slower pace the film took, I think one of the flaws of Sam Raimi's trilogy was that they rushed the Origin too much but here they took their time with it and everyone's character was stronger for it.

I'll be looking forward to the sequel.

Thought it was much better than the other ones. It felt more like the Spider-Man I remember as a kid as well. Loved the build up to him becoming Spider-Man. Had a bit of a darker feel as well.
