Seems as if Jedward have decided £500,000 each is not enough to appear on CBB.

John and Edward Grimes have seemingly denied rumours that they are about to enter the famous Big brother house.
It had been reported and some say confirmed by Louis Walsh that the former X Factor contestants had penned a deal worth £1 million, that would see them joining the lineup for the reality TV show, when it launches on Channel 5 next month.

However, in a new interview, Jedward have insinuated that half a million pounds each is not enough to make them want to star in the month long series, making us wish we had their lives and their bank balances!
John said: “There are always rumours that we’re going in. Rumours are called rumours because they’re not always true. Going on ‘Big Brother’ would be the craziest thing ever.
“I don’t think £1 million’s enough, I think it’s below estimate.”
Edward added: “I think ‘Big Brother’ is cool and when I was younger I used to be scared of the eye. I was like. ‘What’s going on there?’ ”
And even if the boys did accept a place in the house, they don’t want to live with z listers like Imogen Thomas or Steve Strange, no they want to spend their time getting to know pop princess Britney Spears, crazy singer Lady Gaga or a few political world leaders.
John told Star magazine: “We’d like Britney Spears or Lady Gaga in there with us.”
Edward added: “And someone really intelligent that we can have grown-up conversations with, someone like Tony Blair. Gordon Brown. Maybe the queen.”
Daily Star journalist Peter Dyke has reported that three of the housemates entering the show this year will be ‘connected’ but will have never met in person. Many believe they will be three of Ryan Giggs’ ex girlfriends, including Imogen Thomas and Natasha Giggs.
Aaron Carter is believed to have signed up for the show, and bosses are said to be hoping that he spills the beans on his ex-girlfriend Lindsay Lohan and their time together.

The Metro (Who have had quite a few BB stories) have also written a shorter article which basically says the same, if not less than the one above > http://www.metro.co.uk/tv/869861-jedward-1million-is-not-enough-for-celebrity-big-brother-appearance

Louis Walsh (their manager) saying "They're going into Big Brother" isn't a rumour...

I don't wish to be rude, but £1m is probably worth a lot more to you than it is to them.
They can probably find other ways to make that kind of money without changing their business plan or jeopardising their image.
Having said that, I still think there is a chance that they could enter the house - either as HMs or as guests, and this could all be a ruse to throw us all off the scent.

Even so, it shouldn't be about the money - it should be more about the experience! :nono:

True - for most "ordinary" people, but celebrities have an image and career to protect/promote. This is not necessarily a problem for celebs on their way down, or trying to restart their career; but acts like Jedward have to think carefully and weigh up the pros and cons of entering.

Like I said though, I would still be surprised if they didn't make some kind of appearance.

£1 million is a lot more than they'd get from any other of the celebrity shows, 'I'm A Celebrity...' included. If it's true, Channel 5 should start knocking down the offer 100k at a time until they relent.

More likely than not is that for some other TV appearances either here or in Europe they have been offered more.

Louis Walsh is doing a great job promoting and managing them, he will want the very best deal available.
It is clear they are in demand for TV and also Countries other than the UK are queueing up for them right now, 4 to 5 weeks is a long time when you are in demand at present to be tied into one thing with the restrictions CBB has, especially to outside communication.

Louis Walsh knows what he's doing with them,he hasn't failed them once yet.
