It annoys me that channel 5 are not advertising BB, which is the most valuable show they will EVER have on their channel!
I came across this on YOU TUBE and thought that it would be PERFECT for them to start playing throughout their channel platforms!!! ....

sorry! :(
its just REALLY annoying me! lol
No channel advertises any show more than 3 weeks before hand. Any earlier and it's just a waste of money.

How is it a waste of money. It costs nothing for a Channel to advertise their own shows. It dosen't take space away from commercial adverts so no money is lost!
Channel 5 should have been advertising Big Brother for at least a month now!

Yeah that video was made by a big headed TiBB Member, it's a chavy abomination.

Of course it costs money, everything from making the advert to transmitting it. It takes away space for other C5 shows that are actually on air or will be on air in the coming weeks, not a show which is still a month away from launching

Well that's stupid, of course it costs money to produce and air adverts

Channel 5 have an in-house creative team that make most of their own adverts.
It wouldn't cost them ANYTHING to knock up an eye flash or teaser trailer.
That is my point!
I'm not talking about a fully animated 3D eye advert here, just a simple eye flash or something.
Anyway, I'm not gonna argue.
They should be advertising by now. End of.

Do you think it costs to much or takes up to much advertising space to do this.....

I realy think Channel 5 could afford to devote 5 seconds to their biggest show in the history of the channel.
Lets be realistic this would cost Channel five pennies but yet is so effective.
Agree?
If it starts on the 17/18 then it's still a month away. I think they'll start big next week!
I don't watch Channel5 so I would never see them..
Be patient people.

I can read fine without the huge font, thanks.
What is the difference between airing those ads this week and starting next week?
Apart from costing C5 money and ad space, nothing. Airing ads for an extra week isn't going to increase viewers, else, why even start now? They could've been advertising since they struck the deal back in April or whenever.
That way they'd be advertising for months and 10 million people would tune in!
Of course not. It doesn't work like that.

Yes becase this would bankrupt them :joker:
I never would say advertise from April as thats just overkill but its on in less than a month now so these 5 second flashes would be nice to wet everyones appetite :)
You're argument about wasting advertising space does not really sit as these are merely 5 second flashes.
How do you know it wont increase viewers anyway lol the chances are it will as viewers will be in the know about the show coming on thats just common sense.
They'll be in the know if they start adverts two weeks before hand.
If advertising for weeks and weeks before hand was cheap and did increase viewers, the channels would do it. They don't. They all follow the 3 week (or less) system.
But you know, perhaps they and their decades of experience in the industry are all completely wrong.
