I like the BBUSA format but wouldn't the public voting to evict make the show more interesting?

No. It would make it less interesting.

BB1 USA let the public vote to evict. But the public decided to vote out all the "troublemakers" first, leaving all the housemates that were "nice" and everyone got alone with each other leading to a "boring" season with low ratings. There was a joke at the time that CBS should throw out all the housemates and bring in the Survivor Season 1 cast to make it more interesting. (Survivor had premiered earlier that year and got huge ratings.) The biggest storyline that CBS played up the final weeks of the season was Jamie's secret that she was a beauty queen contest winner and how the other housemates would react.

If the public voted it would be a different show. They did let the public decide once, when their precious Jeffy was in trouble in BB11 they let fans vote for the Coup d'etat, which Jeff obviously won, and it allowed him to overthrow the HoH and select two nominees.

Agreed also midway thru season one it was so boring that they tried to bribe a hg to leave the show so they could send in an new entertaining hg that likes to party and no one took a 20,000 bribe and if I recall survivor borneo was on at the same time as bb1

Yeah, Survivor was the reality show in the summer of 2000 and Big Brother got the shaft because of it. Not to mention that the first four boots were the four most entertaining HouseGuests.

In fact Will mega mentioned it was big boring without him at the finale I would like to see them all play the show again except with the new rules

BB Brazil is like that i think. They have the BBUSA format, but they still have public vote.

I'm not sure how it works exactly. I think they have HoH and the HoH nominates people, then they have Veto comp and then the public votes people out instead of the houseguests voting i think.

Three people are up always usually one by hoh the whole house and by a twist called the hot phone whoever answers it if bb tells them to nominate on the spot

The public voting on what food the poor side eat is pretty uninteresting to me. However when they did that question task on the HMs it was better. It would be nice if they took some power out of the HGs hands more. I know people would say that isn't fair but no BB is fair and the HLs no doubt show some of the producer's bias anyway.
