Worst Day Ever, iPod has been smashed. [HELP?]

I was out with my best mate, girlfriend and her sisters just now and my mate decided to be a wanker and kept jumping on my back like a fat bastard and because I couldn't lift him, I struggled to get him off and then it happened.

My iPod Touch swung out of my jean pocket and hit the ground.

Now, anyone that has an iPod knows that when put on a flat surface they are hard to pick up and this skill has to be done very easily.
Well, after screaming 'JUST LEAVE IT!' to my friend, the wanker decided not to, and literally pulled it across the ground - my iPod, with it's screen facing down.

So when he eventually gave it to me, I seen it.

My beautiful iPod Touch was reduced from a sexy piece of technology to a mess.
The screen is shattered at the top, cracked in the middle and smashed abit at the bottom of it and the camera lens is busted or something.

Now, I'm quite pissed off.

Infact I ended up grabbing a rock and throwing it at him, and a fight broke out - we standing right near a junk yard so I grabbed a bottle of WKD that was half smashed, and ran at him with it and my girlfriend's sister had to break it up.

So now I don't know what to do, my mum will go mad and won't buy me a new one because she's already buying me a Big Brother boxset that costs alot anyway.

It's an iPod Touch 4G and I got it in December, will the warranty still be valid and if it is will Apple be able to do anything?

It still works fine, like it's just it's a ******ing disgrace.

I told my friend 'YOU BUY ME A NEW ONE YOU FAT BASTARD!' and he was like 'LOL I have no money'.
Is there anyway I can fix this? Any services or shops or anything?

Theres this place in Southport (My town) Called ruperts and they can repair smashed screens. I think you can send it to them. I'll find out for you.

Well if he is unable to pay then that's a bit different to refusing.

If he's not got the money to pay then you can't make him.

Plenty of pound shops ... I'm not sure if they are named different up in Narin Irelan ... but plenty of uh ... how should we say it ... discount shops and trade in places who do a bit of dodgy business on the side will repair your screen no bother for a low price here in Cork.

I know of a pound shop that doubled as a head shop and the sound fella behind the counter fixed and unlocked phones for a fiver. Free if you bought an eight of herbal. What a legend he was to us for many years.

Battery life was awesome on those as well. Could go for weeks without charging it.

Anyway, Paddy, if you still have the warranty/receipt, you can get a new one for free. Same thing happened to someone I know. It's always valid, I think, but most people stupidly throw them away. Anyway, if you've still got it, you can contact them, and they'll fix it for you for free.

Wouldn't waste time on such wankers in the future.
