Youtube - Advert response BAFFLING!

1. Has got over 42,000 views in just 2 days.
2. I think it's the most watched BB advert ever.. and
3. Has an overwhelmingly negative repsonse from peple who have probably never watched it and think that it's gonna be sh*t.

I am just so confused as to why they are being so vicious with their comments, and why suddenly so many people are watching this 10 second advert....... Even saying that a show is crap is talking about it, giving it power by making it public knowledge? e.g I really dont like X factor, but most of my friends watch it so instead of insulting people about it i tend to just ignore it.

Ok I can some what understand complaining about it being on channel 4 if you don't 'like' it because channel 4 have a reputation for great television so in some peoples eyes there are better programmes they could be showing . I was talking about Big Brother with a friend a few months ago and I was saying how good it is. He responded, as most people do, by saying something about him not wanting to watch people sleeping. I said it's not just that. I said the actual show itself is great. He continued to say it was crap and I actually asked him "When's the last time you watched a series, or an episode of Big Brother?" He replied by saying he had never watched an episode.

This is the point, people just think it's crap because everyone else does. I guarantee you most people who say the hate it has never watched it for a week, they may have watched a few minutes of an episode, but they don't give it long enough to get to know the people.

It was more hated at it's height than it is now. A lot of that hatred has just turned to apathy.

It's always provoked a very strong sense of anger and frustration to those poor souls who are forced to watch it. I'm always amazed muck like the X-Factor hasn't become as hated.

The response on YouTube doesn't make the ratings for the launch or episodes very promising although I wasn't expecting much, probaly just over 2m for the launch. They need a good series to turn it around.
