What are the most overrated films that you have seen?

The Social Network is a recent one that springs to mind. Definitely not Oscar worthy in my opinion.
Also Michael Clayton bored me half to death.

Chinatown. It was good but from what I'd heard I'd expected it to be amazing.
The Royal Tenenbaums. Again, it wasn't that it was a bad film but it wasn't anything special.

To be fair to The Social Network it was good, just not as good as I was expecting it to be. Maybe my expectations were just too high!

I know everyone seems to love it Niamh, i dont know why i hated it so much, me my hubby went to see it, at the cinema & i fell asleep:blush2:, i thought it was so so boring.

Me too. Everyone was like "omgz this film is the funniest movie evarrrrr" and then I watched and I was like it really wasn't that funny. >__>

The Hangover 2 was a lot better than #1 imo.

Yeah. I really liked the second one I found it a lot funnier. Maybe it was because I didn't have people hyping it up for me? Idk I preferred it anyhow. :laugh:

Most of the people who enjoy the Shawshank Redemption are older rather than MTV moviegoers, so I doubt it is number 1 because of them
