Don't you think it's about time we all got together?

We could hire a hall and have a convention, if we all chipped in, it wouldn't cost much!

I've got to know so many lovely people through this forum, and made some very good friends because of it, and I would love to get to know more of you!

I know we live all over the country but surely we could get together some weekend? Somewhere Midlands way so it's not too far for people to come?

Come on everyone, let's meet up and have a blast!!!!!!!!!

Janette, I am picking you all off, one by one.
Your mum will be the next person I meet possibly, and maybe you too?

We have talked of a convention before.

It must happen.

Where I live is quite central, but OH would be  and :nono: and very possibly  .

He is still taking enormous pleasure by regaling all our friends, neighbours and acquaintances with

"You'll never guess where this sad cow went the other day!

So, any ideas? Shall I invite the Clarkes? And Uri Geller?

I've met all four people who have already posted on this thread and consider each one of them a very good friend.

In total I've met at least 10 people from TiBB and would love to meet some more.

Let's get organising.

If we can get enough people to come, I'll certainly make the arrangements :colour:

LEE, you might need to help me a bit with the geography though

My family and friends all think I am completely mad anyway and should know better - but what the hell, it's all in the best possible taste. I havent been with you very long, but I feel I know you all, basically we are all mad as hell. I think its a brilliant idea.

Funny this should come up cos I had a dream the other night, when we were all sat in this hotel room watching BB2 tapes and who should walk in but Paul and Helen, saying they wanted to announce their engagement to us all cos we had been so supportive. IT WAS ONLY A DREAM, BUT WHAT A DREAM!!!!!!I know I am just a hopeless romantic - so what I'm not going to apologise.

You don't mean to tell us that geography is not one of your strong points do you!!! (sorry!).

I think it's a fab idea. I've met a few people already and made a couple of really good friends. I think it would be great to get together and if I can help in any way - just count me in.

Me Too!

How about in a hospitality suite at Old Trafford (Pimms on the terrace) or at my local Pizza Hut. All the staff seem to be BB fans, tho' this may be cos I'm always there. <<must tip better>> )

"I think we'd have a blast!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :colour: :colour: :colour: :wavey: "........WITH Pimms :nono: Oh no M'dear! Surely not  Black tie or panamas only :colour:

If this is going to be a TiBB forum convention, I do not think it will be feasible.

If this was broadened to a Reality TV fans convention it might be slightly more feasible

I think it's a brilliant idea, Janette. :hello:

(Somewhere Midlands way - that would be round about Glasgow, then?????   - only joking!)

Although it would mean quite a long journey for me from the wilds of Scotland, it would be well worth it to finally meet all the friends I've made courtesy of this forum.

So count me in! :colour: :spin2: :colour:

What size convention hall would you need ?

How many subscribers to TiBB

Could LEE use her clout to get ex-housemates to show their faces ?

What would be the maximum cost.

You could try National Express Coaches (http://www.gobycoach.com)

Hitching in theory would be an option of absolute last resort, though, sorry to sound sexist not reccomended for females of any age.

Car pooling ???

As for accomodation you can get a good list of B&B's from A1 Tourism.com (http://www.a1tourism.com/uk/manchester.html)

What I need to know is what part of Manchester are you hoping for and what size venue are we talking about, so I can see about which B&B and check my own feesability of travelling. I have some old contacts in Bury in Lancashire so might make this part of a larger itinery

Thanx Sticks, I tried the coach website but the cheapest coach ticket would be £35! Plus staying overnight would be at least another £20, then theres food & drink as well!

It would probably come to, at the very least, £70!

I cant afford that! Especially when Im trying to save up for next years holiday and uni too!

Does no-one want to come?

The date is definitely 2nd November, time to be arranged, and I can't say exactly where because i don't want to book something if no-one's coming!

U2U me if you want to come and if you have any questions

Yeah mine would too! I don't think they'd be too impressed if I said I was meeting people I'd met on the internet! Especially all the way up in Manchester!

Manchester is only 50 odd miles away from The Wirral so I will definitely be able to be there.

I too have already met some lovely people from the forum and made some really good friends but it will be lovely to meet more of you. I do hope lots of you can make it. I'm sure we'll have plenty to talk about.

For anyone wanting accommodation in the Manchester area they should try the Tourist Information Centre - it can be found on http://www.manchester.gov.uk/visitorcentre. They are also contactable by:

Telephone: (0161) 234 3157
Fax: (0161) 236 9900
E-mail on: manchester.visitor.centre@notes.manchester.gov.uk

They are open Monday to Saturday between 10.00am and 5.30pm and on Sundays and Bank Holidays between 10.30am and 4.30pm.

I'm sure they will be able to help anyone find good and inexpensive accommodation.

According to The Trainline.com (http://www.thetrainline.com) the return fare to Manchester from Newcastle is £47.40 and you can arrive in the afternoon

According to National Express (http://www.gobycoach.com) the return fare from Newcastle to Bury (Lancs) it is only £26.75, but you Leave Newcastle about 1:20PM arrive sometime after 9PM :bawling:

Looks like I will have to use the train if we can get this off the ground.

We need more of you to commit to this so it can go ahead (and I can revisit Bury an old stomping ground of mine) :colour:

If you want to see more of this Lancashire town, see the Bury MBC (http://www.bury.gov.uk/bury/index.asp) website

If anyone had any trouble with the Bury MBC (http://www.bury.gov.uk/bury/index.asp) link earlier, I have fixed it

Janette do you know if there are still some fields where someone could pitch a tent, that may cut the cost for certain people who are worried about price
