View Full Version : The pronunciation thread
I'm sure there are plenty of head to heads that I can't think of right now, but a few to start us off:
YOGHURT: Yaw-gurt vs Yo-gurt
EITHER: Eye-ther vs Ee-ther
NEITHER: Nigh-ther vs Knee-ther
TOMATO: Toe-may-toe vs Toe-ma-toe
SCHEDULE: shed-yule vs sked-yule
Personally I say Yaw-gurt, Eye-ther, Nigh-ther, Toe-ma-toe, shed-yule
How about you? Any other examples?

I avoided a words because that tends to be an accent dictated thing, i.e. you'd sound ridiculous saying grass my way if you were from Devon or something.
