Is it being shown on telly or anything?

I'd like to get Ireland, Northern Ireland or Scotland and Wales. Just for the home nations aspect of it.

I hope we get a few tough teams to get us better prepared for the World Cup. If we have an easy ride we get complacent.

We need the easiest draw possible to make sure we actually make it to the world cup

Hoping for easy draw :)

ONe of the reasons why Englan dont perform at the worl cup, is because they always get a cupcake quaolifying draw. THen they show up, not ready. IF I was you, I wold hope for at least one or 2 legit teams, to get you competition ready, when the World cup starts!

They haven't qualified for the world cup since 1998 and the last time they were in the european championships was 2000. no way should they be in Pot 1 but the ranking system is wank

France was in the 2002 WC as defending champions. And I should know, because, we kicked their asses, in the opening game! :D
But, given their performances, they deserve to be in pot 2. POt 2, or 1, are the same anyways. If France is really good, they will probably win their group. And actually, I expect them to do so this time around.

By the way, its bull**** how they set up the african qualifiers. YOu have to win your group, in the first round. Then those 10 group winners, get draws, for head to head elimination, in the second round (2legs) . WHich means, 2 very good team can meet up, in the second round. It coudl be Cote Divoire, vs Ghana in the second, an one of them will be eliminated. Or cameroon vs Nigeria. Whatever, I dont know why they accepted this format.

Shaun
30-07-2011, 06:35 PM

Shaun

about 70% of the world's population and they only get 4, maybe 5, teams in the competition. Baffling.

Its not one of their traditional sports! And furthermore, They are lacking physically, when it comes to football. But I think they can be a factor, going forward, because nowadays, Football is getting really popular in Asia. Thanks to south Korea mainly. They have shown, that you ont have to be big an strong to have a good soccer team. Technique plays a huge role in football. AN the asians, once the sport become popular, will be able to get in there.

Also Japan did just win womens worl cup. I think its a sign for things to come, from asian teams.

The Women's game is so open England beat Japan 2-0 but Japan went on to win it. it's basically like League two football.

Easy group for England. But, again, they wont be battle tested, entering the world cup.
France and Spain, will be tested. And more than likely, will both qualify for the World cup. Personaly, I think France wins that group.
