BAYWATCH babe Pamela Anderson is to make waves inside the Big Brother house.

The blonde is on the brink of signing up for a starring role in the hit reality series, which launches on Channel 5 this month.


Pammy, 44, has an advantage over her rivals because she has already been a housemate.


In 2008 she stunned viewers Down Under when she joined the Australian Big Brother.


And last year she entered the Indian version, called Bigg Boss, and stayed for three days.


Show bosses here in the UK were counting on Pammy, who shot to fame playing lifeguard CJ Parker in the hit US series, to steam up our TV sets.


She said: “I am very excited about the show.


“I will just be myself and have fun with the contestants in the house.”


The babe has been linked with the spy-on-the-wall show for years but TV chiefs had not been able to persuade her to appear.


She was in talks with former BB bosses about joining CBB last year.


Pamela said she would only say yes if her ex Tommy Lee, 48, could go in as well. But Tommy got cold feet at the 11th hour and the pair pulled out.


Our source added: “The time is right for Pamela and she’s going to be a TV treat for BB fans.”
