View Full Version : Which weather do you prefer?
Summer, hot, sunshine, tans, laying out on the grass on a blanket, wearing little.
Winter, cold, white clouds, being wrapped up whilst walking somewhere, laying in front of a roaring fire.

I don't tan, I burn. If I lie on the grass I get hayfever. :bored:
Winter, cold, white clouds, being wrapped up whilst walking somewhere.
ROFL.. hayfever vs. colds.
I'd rather have colds.

Summer for the win. But not the crappy British summer. :bored:

I always have a cold so meh.
But Winter >>>>
took me a few years to have this kind of thinking but recently I realised I am much much happier when it's dark early, wrapped up indoors with blankets watching X Factor or something on Saturdays, than sat here on Saturday evenings when it's light doing nothing
Plus I love being out in the rain. Not so much snow cos Im cut off from everything so being snowed in is a pain. But winter is just so much better. Plus Christmas is better than my birthday, which is in the summer.

winter
clear skys but coldness <3
The only good thing I like about summer is that I'm losing a little weight without even trying by walking to and from work  but then it's far too hot still :laugh2:

Summer without a doubt, give me BBQ's, swimming, cold beers and lazing in the sun with a good book anyday of the week!

I'd prefer winter if there was guaranteed snow every time it rolls around but since that don't happen, summer.

I like both for (obviously) very different reasons...... but Summer wins by a fraction.

Interesting that the poll seems to be constantly 50/50

Summer everytime, I love the outfits, the brightness, the warmth. Winter is wearing a million layers, still being freezing and scared of falling down if it snows.

I love both for various reasons. Summer, by a very small margin, wins. That may be altered if I was in a different country. The British version of summer is hardly a definition of "proper summer". I still enjoy it, however.
I still love winter.
Spring is my worst time of year, for some reason. It just doesn't feel of anything. It's in the middle; not summer or winter. You can hardly feel "spring". Winter, Summer and Autumn are all known for their attributes, but there isn't a particular event in spring to look forward to, apart from the ripening of flowers/Easter, which isn't too bad.
Summer - known for hot weather (does not apply so much to Britain), a period of rest from school, much more activities to do, going out, having fun, holidays, etc.
Autumn - known for the build-up to winter, falling of leaves. I really don't know why I enjoy it so much, but I do.
Winter - snow, Christmas/Christmas holidays.
Spring - apart from what I mentioned far above, nothing, really. It just doesn't do anything for me. There's not a lot I can look forward to during spring.

I'm sure it's snowed at some point between Dec-Feb the last 3 or 4 years.

Winter by a long shot.
If we had all four seasons up, then I would say Autumn by far, but between Summer and Winter, than Winter by far.

My mum gets very bad hay fever in the summer, so, for that reason, she prefers winter.
