Well it's no secret that Channel 5 doesn't air in Ireland (i think) but besides, my T.V broke.
So.... does nayone know if I'll be watch it from their official site (like you could on C4) or is there a site that someone will be uploading the shows o.O
Just wondering..
Man.. it's been a while since I've been here.....

I just quickly tried on Demand, and unfortunately I'm getting
"Not available in your coutnry" or something right that (i don't know why but I find that extremyl discrimanotory).

Google 'Hotspot Shield'.
And I don't think the launch date has been fully confirmed but I think it's the 17th. Either that or 18th.
Vicky.

Hotspot shield totally ****ed my laptop a few months back. never again :bored:

Vicky.

Im not sure if it was that...but it happened right after I downloaded it. Everything kept freezing...took the shield and a load of other crap off and it worked fine again D:

you will struggle to access 5 on demand or catchuptv (you could watch it live on there) using a proxy they are pretty unreliable and most dont support flash the best way is to subscribe to a vpn service https://vpnuk.info is a good one it costs £4.25 a month but is a rock solid way of being able to make it look like you are based from whatever country you like.
and it encrypts everything so your isp wont have a clue what your up to its worth researching vpn services they are the way forward :)

This really sucks big time!! I was convinced 3e were going to air the show. So that means the Irish fans are not going to be able to see BB after eleven years of us watching, having an Irish presenter and probably Irish housemates.
Why were 3e not able to acquire the rights to the show? Channel 5 looking for too much money?? Irish viewers are not able to see streaming on any of the Channel 5 sites either so we basically screwed! Luckily I have Channel 5 tuned onto my Sky dish but the majority of loyal Big Brother viewers will not be able to see the show and I think its disgraceful!!!

I have Channel 5 :D You can tune it in if you have a sky box
Time to pack your bags and move to England

Why won't Sky add Channel 5 for us in Ireland I wonder? That would be amazing!

You can tune it in if you have a sky box on extra channels, someone explained how to do it in an other thread, I'll try and find it

Hi Niamh, I have it tuned into 'Other Channels', but I'm a Sky+ addict, and I hate not series linking stuff like BB in case I miss an episode :) Annoyed with TV3 and C5 deal not working out.

Because Irish broadcasting - like most of the rest of our institutions and infastructures - is incompotent, buffonish and lagging behind the rest of the world. It was probably cheaper to commision another ~!CRIME!~ style show like Rusty Old Heroin Needles On The Floors Of Creches In Limerick or something.
It's a shame too because not everyone in Ireland had Channel 4 anyway. Regardless of how well the series will do it would almost certainly have been the biggest one ever in Ireland by default.

I totally agree.Having Celeb BB on TV3 and normal BB on 3e would probably guarantee the highest ratings the show has ever attracted in Ireland.Especially with Brian Dowling and possibly Jedward involved too.Its actually madness that someone hasnt bought up the rights.
TV3 is quite good at advertising their shows too. Its such a shame 90% of Big Brother fans wont be able to watch the show or even be aware that Channel 5 can be tuned onto a Sky box.

Maybe Endemol or Channel 5 were asking for too many conditions and too much cash.
I mean they need sponsorship for the programs and it's probably too short notice. I'd also say they were asking for a massive amount of cash, and when TV3 couldn't be arsed to pay it they weren't too worried because of the small-ish viewership.

i really can't get over this, seeming as though BB was always available in Ireland and the presenter is a famous Irish face and Jedward are presumably going in

Oh well.Just bought TV Now, released today, which has the Irish TV listings for next week.
Big Brother is on the front page with a 3 page article inside. So of course, I got all excited when i saw the cover! But alas, after the article it just says Celebrity Big Brother launch August 18th on Channel 5.
TV3 has a film I never heard of called Confidence on from 9-11 pm, while 3e has repeats of the Graham Norton show..Surely the Celeb BB would have been a huge ratings draw for TV3 or 3e?? Why have such a prominent article about BB with an interview with Brian Dowling when the majority of Irish viewers cant even see the bloody show?? Im really annoyed a deal wasnt reached to show BB over here........

Yeah in the evening herald the 1st page is all about CBB and Jedward going in, but like why would they spend so much time covering it when we won't be able to watch it?
Ok so I live in Dublin in Ireland and I have been going crazy that i can't watch cbb this year ...... BUT i just stumbled across a site that has a live feed of channel 5 so thought I'd post it up here for all you fellow Irish viewers :D
