Madcap twins Jedward have been filmed by a camera crew from Celebrity Big Brother as they prepare to enter the controversial reality show.

The Herald can exclusively reveal how a crew from Channel 5 secretly jetted into Ireland this week to work on new segments for the forthcoming programme, which will feature Dublin superstars John and Edward Grimes (19).

Although they have repeatedly denied that they have signed up for the show, speculation has been rife for weeks that the popular pair are two of the big-name signings in a €1.1m deal.

And the pop stars were filmed in action earlier this week at the Grand Canal Theatre after taking to the stage for two-sell out gigs.

Personally i dont believe that would be good for them mentally , it might be good for the show and amazing entertainment but i dont belive they would risk harming them mentally and plus theyve stated that they would only take part in the show if they could do it together and not be seperated so i dont belive that channel 5 would risk them walking which they inevitably will if they were seperated especially after paying them a massive amount of money to take partin the show ,, thats just my opinion though :D

Although they're not Hollywood, they do have a rather large fanbase behind them. Yes, that fanbase is mostly teenage girls, but it's still a large fanbase regardless. They could bump up the ratings a little bit anyway. They've managed to sell out quite a few big venues on their tour at the moment. There's definitely worse people they could have got on the show. We have had this discussion before Zippy,6th out of 12 is not a loser, its actually in the top half of the finals really, as to 8th in Eurovision, that is even more successful, to come 8th out of 25 Countries on the strength of 42 other Countries votes.Again well in the top half of the competition.
Everyone cannot win in competitions and they did far better than most in both the finals you list.

However, again as I've said many times, you hate them, I really like them and it seems TV companies really like them too.

As for not believing the figures, you don't know they are wrong just as I cannot be 100% sure they are right,however on past contracts they have been paid very high sums and still are raking the funds in so they are going to be around on TV for many years yet,likely decades even.

Lots of people apparantly said exactly the same as to Ant and Dec aka PJ and Duncan, but look where they got to from being zany,whacky, hyper and appealing mostly to Children and teenage girls initially too.

Well, they stayed in the competition for 6 weeks in the finals(with 6 acts going out before them), only on the strength of people in the UK voting for them too, Ireland couldn't vote on x factor then.
So clearly a lot of the UK viewers also saw what Louis Walsh saw too.
