big brother will have a bar where alcohol will be on tap 24 hours a day :) daily star's front page
1533
on ther front page it says - 'Celebrity Big brother is set to get its own big boozer, a bar with alcohol on tap 24 hours a day, it will make housemates like amy childs and pamela anderson the friskiest ever...'
CELEBRITY Big Brother bosses have installed a Big Boozer in the TV house.
For the first time ever, housemates will have their own bar, open all day and all night.
Channel 5 chiefs have decided to set up the BB bar so contestants can let their spirits run free.
They want the stars, tipped to include The Only Way Is Essex babe Amy Childs, 21, who was snapped in London yesterday looking sensational, to loosen up and get frisky.
Telly bosses know that over the past 10 years of the show, some of the sexiest and funniest action has come when the stars are sozzled.
Top moments include Michelle Bass, 30, luring a tipsy Stuart Wilson, 27, under the buffet table for nookie, the late Jade Goody flashing her “kebab’’ in a drinking game, Kinga Karolczak, 26, pretending to have sex with a wine bottle and boozed-up Hollywood star Verne Troyer, 42, crashing his mini-scooter.
However, Big Brother is planning to make sure the housemates work for their alcoholic treats.
Producers will tell them that if they are making great telly then they will keep the bar open 24/7.
But if they are bad then the bar will close. And the group will face harsh reprisals.
One plan is to put the willies up the celebs with “fright night’’ scares. Last night a show insider said: “Fans don’t want to see a bunch of people sitting around being boring.
“They want to see them getting drunk so they get randy, go bedhopping and let slip some of their sauciest secrets.
“But as always with Big Brother, there’s a twist.
“If the group misbehave or break the rules then they’ll be punished with special supernatural torture frights.”
The celeb series, launching at 9pm on Thursday August 18, will be followed straight away by a regular edition featuring members of the public.

good i wish this is true but i know it wont be! daily star wouldnt publish articles that will cause outrage from viwers complaining! for their own show unless their not true!
however they should get more alchol, standard not 2 beers a night as this is not reality and no one does this, have an alchol fridge like bb5 and let them help them selfs!
then they can get pissed in the day on occasions as sometimes big brother can be really boring in the day! influence of alchol os a powerfull tool for entertainment!!!!

Exactly what I was thinking. I've looked on Sky News Front pages and the Daily Star website. Not a dicky-bird of what the op is saying.
I thought they didn't get the newspapers front pages until after 10
Oh right never mind, it's posted now

Alcohol on tap means constantly giving them booze, what's the difference?

long overdue.
sorry thats why BB lost a lot of its edge.the place we used to live was right in the town centre of llanelli..talk about rough.this no booze rule was just like ned flanders in charge of the house.
either people are going to act like the do on the outside or theres no point them being in there.its just like real life some people can handle and be fine with booze others act like total arses.being in the BB house should reflect that.

True but it just seems weird rather than being delivered the alcohol and stuff. I just think a tap is a weird concept.

I think its a bad idea. Giving them booze at digression means they get excited.
Having it on tap will just bore them after a while.

what really screwed that up was the amount they were given.
about one and half cans between them.
I do think BB9 was the final straw with Dennis.didnt nick mention in UBB it was C4's idea to limit the booze down to almost nothing if this story is true it would confirm that.

Yea I do think they should be given more. A lot more however having unlimited alcohol is just stupid.

Having something "on tap" is just an expression. It just means they'll have a constant stock of the stuff.

also after 2 weeks Any 'tensions' in the air normally come out when people have had a drink.

Having a house full of alcoholics and drug addicts and providing them with booze 24/7 is never a good idea in terms of a healthy lifestyle

apparently Sheen has 100% denied hes going in there.
but seeing the reactions alone I bet C5 will up any offer to get him in there now...it went mental for those first 2 days when his name was mentioned.
Two weeks? Christ. Twice a week more like. It's hardly out of the ordinary. It's what most people in the country do.

LOL at Doogle thinking it'd literally be a tap.
This is good news, we last got this in BB5 - it's good to see them going back to the Golden Days.

The celeb edition is only 3 - 4 weeks so one night of booze would be pretty boring.

I don't recall alcohol being "on tap 24/7" in BB5, but I do recall Ray's All-Day Bar in BB4, which was a temporary privilege .....

Im not saying no booze inbetween the 2 weeks, but enough for them all to get drunk every 2 weeks. I dont think they should get too much inbetween though because it will make them get eager for it and the show needs variety not just drunken clips all the time, that would suck after 3/4 weeks of it.
It never sucked years ago. A bit of booze here and there but not enough to get everyone plastered is pointless. That's what it has been like since BB8.
I seriously doubt viewers will tire of watching drunk housemates once even twice a week

Yeah, I think if Charlie Sheen went in and they did this then the show would have the 2007 race row x a million with the first ever housemate death.

God that seems so controvercial now and its sad that it does!
Bring back the booze!
No limits on housemates behaviour just let them be as they would in the outside in a Friday night lol.

THIS IS WHAT I WANTED! YES!
But I bet if they misbehave they will close the bar, or things like that. I don't think it will be totally open 24/7. They will probably have to earn it's use on some occasions.

I hope they keep all the alcohol in a locked perspex box in the middle of the garden or something to tease the housemates when theyre not allowed to drink. Would be especially effective if Sheen was going in.
