When they say that they mean it'll be about 5 minutes delayed.

I hope on eviction nights we don't get the usual, people coming on here spoiling it before it's actually shown on TV

Yeah, and I remember in Ultimate Big Brother (I think, possibly BB11, can't remember) they evicted two housemates at 9pm and we only saw it at 11:10pm. On BBLB they told us to 'tune in to the LIVE eviction tonight at 11:10pm!' :joker:

Exactly, it was the same for CBB7. We had pictures all over the forum of Nicole T evicted like an hour before it was even shown :bored:
Anything more than 30 minutes is just ridiculous. As long as it's less than that then I don't mind - 5 or 10 minutes isn't too bad.

No, nothing will be properly live again for as long as the BB house is based at Elstree. After 2006, people complained about the crowd noise because its a residential area. The council enforced loads of stupid rules, basically limiting the amount of shows that require crowds on a friday, and only two non-friday 'live' crowd requiring shows a year. The delay means they can still have a crowd, and be out before a certain time which is also enforced by Herts council. That's why the evictions and live shows were so much better pre-bb8. It was live and they had very few limitations. When the house was in bow, there were no limitations and was basically a weekly televised rave. Grab a glo-stick!

No, it wasn't that.
BB6 and BB7 were both 110% live on all occasions - hence the 'Live' graphic bar at the top of the screen.
But during the course of BB7 the housemates started getting a little cocky and began shouting and swearing when Davina told them not to.
Which obviously resulted in the discontinuation of Live Shows.
Kind of ironic though, how the only series with a tourettes housemate is the one that is guilty of swearing the most.

It'd be kind of awesome if they just decided to be rebels and go ahead with a live show and kept the crowd there for ages and then all of a sudden the police pull up.
Just imagine Davina about to announce the evictee and then we just hear Sirens and stuff.
