The downside is that Joe Public take the "rumours" as Gospel and slate the show after launch because they had such high expectations and most of the "huge" names didn't turn out to be true.

The lineup is looking pretty good and it appeals to the right demographic: females. The majority of people who watch BB are women and they are the ones most likely to vote on the show so people like Katona and Amy Childs who are plastered on the front of the weekly gossip mags week in week out will make them watch in droves.

I dont quite get the excitement for CBB. I have never watched one so I am no expert but as the majority of the people in there have made a carreer of selling stories to trash mags or appearing on reality tv or even having thier own tv show ussually all three. So in the house they act in accordance with the image they are famous for whatever that is or if its been tarnished they act to pull back to the image they want. So everything they are has been seen or read which makes the show potentialy very dull.
Yes I know sometimes a celeb may screw up big time but 5 minutes of self importan gloating cant really make up for 3 weeks of boredom.......can it?
