Big Brother is at the centre of a broadcasting war as Channel 5 accuses the programme's original host, Channel 4, of a campaign of "dirty tricks" worthy of Nasty Nick.
It is now expected to schedule the Million Pound Drop live game show, presented by the former Big Brother host Davina McCall, against her old show on the all-important Friday eviction nights

Hope C4 get owned. :suspect:
I usually find ratings wars petty, like XF and Strictly or Celebrity Love Island and BB7 :idc:
But this is quite funny.

Tbf to C4 they can't just make their friday night primetime **** so BB does well on another channel.

Are you saying they would of put this on regardless of Big Brother's return?

It's often aired on Friday nights

True.
It'll still be interesting to see which wins though.

Yes. They confirmed Million Pound Drop would return in the Autumn in May. They ran a series in September last year which had a similar weekend schedule towards the end.
Million Pound Drop's return really has nothing to do with Big Brother, it's just unfortunate they clash.

I hardly know anyone who watches million pound drop anyway, I doubt it will be serious competition. Both entirely different programmes.
I also find million pound drop too long drawn out too,I certainly won't be watching it instead of BB and as others say there are the channel4+1 for ways to see it later too in any case.
Davina will probably ask a question about Big Brother. Something about which celeb has gone in or to do with the overnight viewing figures.

Especially if the ratings are quite bad, if they're excellent ratings they'll avoid that question lol.

Like someone already said Ch 4 can't just let their Friday night ratings dip but it is petty they're putting Million Pound Drop on considering Davina's the host. It's as if she's being made to decide which is more important - her support of BB on another channel or her current job?

I enjoy the mpd but i'm afraid if this is the case i won't be seeing the friday shows live because i will not miss a bb eviction for any other show and there is a +4 anyway!

It's not really. As I said there was a series of The Million Pound Drop last September and it has been obvious for quite a while that there would be another this September. It isn't a case of them rush-scheduling a new series just so it's competing against Big Brother.
Davina can watch and support BB while working on MPD. It's only two nights a week.
