The eye is weirdly powerfull

For such a simple animated eye its really sinister, fun, threatening and eye catching (pardon the pun)

Im really loving watching it all animated on tv at the moment and watching it morphing into the Channel 5 logo and Brian Dowling walking out through the middle of it.

I hated it at first but especially now after seeing the billboards i have to say im really impressed.

Cant wait to see the titles.

Anyway so that me gushing over the eye....What do you all think?

I don't hate it like I did but it is almost certainly far better animated. I don't find it powerful though. I think an eye needs a message behind it to actually be powerful.

However I still hope for an eatock next year.

i agree it does somehow seem kind of powerful, i think its cos eatock didnt do it, and i was getting bored of the eatock eyes towards the end, i thought the bb11 was awful, it needed a change, and maybe give him a year to come up with something much better than weve seen before and he can wow us with bb13, but yeah definitely something about the new eye that makes it look better

The titles will either be really awesome or suck though.

As a still image I hate it but when its animated it really comes to life.

I don't like how it's not Big Brother's own logo, they've channel fived it by designing it based around the "5" idents. But other than that it's ok as a design.

I agree, im soo glad they didnt use eatocks bb12 eye, it was awful and you could tell that he couldnt be arsed making it. good on channel 5 for making their own

The funny thing is, I bet CH5 didn't come up with that 'Number 5 in the eye pupil' idea - it was us fans who did that on the Eatock Template and then they decided to take it. :bored:

It sucks, you can really tell they've just done it so their little circle logo fits in perfectly.

I can't see them using that eye as a template next year, just look at how when fans try to make their fan made eye designs based on the new template - they always look horrible.

I just can't see how they can do much with this eye next year at all - hopefully they get Eatock back on board.

I can see the titles being like that.
They can't just have a white background whilst the eye dances about.

Eatock hasn't even been approached to make another eye and HAS NOT made a BB12 Eye - if you're talking about that Red Channel 5 one the Daily Star used, that was made by a fan. :idc:

I stand by my original opinion that I prefer the Eatock template but like the shade of blue and pink. It's brighter and appealing.

I still liked Eatock's proposed BB12 eye and wouldn't have minded that for a later series but it'd be weird if BB went back to Eatock after this

Eatock's logo was representative of the whole of its time on Ch 4 and I think we're expected to accept this new logo as the one Channel 5 will continue to use

I think new BB eye is simple, but it is unpredictable, it could turn into whatever!

Usually he does more than 1 design and the producers pick which they want though.

I said, 'I'm not sure' whether I would want him to return, it might be too weird going back to his designs after this year the eye is being used for CBB & BB so it wouldn't be like CBB7 and going back after that as it's been used for a Celeb series and a Normal series...
