Big Brother doesnt seem like a shoddy cheaply produced show.
It seems so polished and fresh and you can just tell theres a team behind it now driving it forward and wanting it to succeed!
Channel 4 really did just want rid after 2007 and everyone knew it!
Im so looking forward to launch and hopefully BB will be back to the controvercial, Loud, Brash show that stuck its finger up to its critics!

Couldnt agree more an, the last 4 years have just been about wrapping the C4 contract up, no effort or budget has gone into the show
This new era reeks of expense and excitment
The love being shown to our show by Channel 5 is fantastic

I actually think they haven't spent much more than channel 4 did I just think they have been far more clever with their budgeting.

Of course they have LOL
If you look at 2009 - I mean c'mon?
And that exterior alone would cost ****** loads, and the advertising campaign and everything.

But think. Two series in one so no house change. Lack of audition venues so less rental costs. No rental costs on studio that the gallery is in (portacabins probably cheaper). Brian is probably being paid less than Davina as well. The lack of live feed broadcasted. And they have probably made staff cuts.
But they have clearly put the budget into the more important things which Channel 4 didn't care about. Thats why I mean there is an illusion so much more has been spent but I bet it hasn't, which is so clever on channel 5's part.

I used to hate Channel 5, I'm quickly changing my opinion towards them now :worship:
I think this End of BB on C4 and Relaunch on C5 is exactly what the show needed!
It was obvious the show was on it's last legs on C4, and then it's axed, C5 come along and bring along a fresh new series that even before launch has had enormous publicity, house looks amazing and nearly everyone is excited for it's return.

I'm actually really excited to see what Channel 5 are going to do with it. I think the tasks might be very cheap, but we'll have to wait and see!

Are you serious? After they already said it'll be more like a soap?
I hate how everyone now slags C4 off like they did nothing for the show.... If BB is still on C5 in another 10 years i'll compare then.

I went from being so excited to excited but now ******ed off and more in a critical 'I'll watch and see if it's up to standard' mood - after what that Peter Lesbian fella just said.

tbh I wouldnt take notice of Peter Dyke.
I think even endemol know they have pretty much reached breaking point in terms of 'creative' editing.
If they want a Towie type show why in gods name use the BB brand? The golden Cage format would have been much easier to turn into a soap/reality show.IMO the biggest danger the show faces now if they do mess around with the format that doesnt appeal to new viewers and the changes are so great it makes old fans switch off, the series wont muster enough support.
