As long as that's ALL they do then fine. Just don't **** with the overall editing!

The music is going to be overbearing.

Ouch, this isn't good :/

Are we actually getting Live Feed? I don't mind paying the rumoured £15 for it. But is it even an option yet?

Uh oh.

Not good.

Please no, we had the drama stuff with the JJJ tripe last year, the last thing we want is to go through that again.

Just go down the BBUSA route and make it a full blown gameshow.

CharlieO

And they are actually thinking this is positive? I probably won't watch if its too much like that to be honest.

Have not much faith in the series now.

I think adding previously and coming next bits is a good idea. It gives people a catch up if they missed the previous nights show and it gives them a reason to tune in the next night. I'm sure they did the coming up bits last year anyway...

RichardG

What does he mean by that? They're all still living in a house and they're all still doing tasks and talking in the diary room and so on, I can't see how it can be like a soap opera? What, are they going to tell them what to do and give them scripts or something?

BringItOn
15-08-2011, 11:37 PM
and this is where the ship begins to sink and all expectations go out the window :/

I just heard Mary Alice "previously on" in my head. lol

Stu
15-08-2011, 11:37 PM
Previously and coming next have been done for years now. These tweets make it sound like it's going in to the realm of full blown Reality soap style production with constant music cues, screenwipes, flash transitions, more narration etc.

If it's as bad as I think it sounds then it's not Big Brother. And I'm not watching. Couldn't give a crap how great the housemates are.

They sure know how to piss off the fans. The music idea is making me not even want to watch it at all.

CharlieO
15-08-2011, 11:41 PM
They will give them scenarios to create in the DR and put who they want up for nom.

I will watch the first couple of days and if its truly like this I will actually stop watching.

AJ.
15-08-2011, 11:42 PM
Isn't big brother anymore.

swinearefine
15-08-2011, 11:42 PM
I am much less excited now. I'm happy with the previously on/coming up, because that doesn't the footage itself, but I can't bear music over the footage or manipulating it into forced storylines. Those are two of my big complaints with BBUS.

Jords
15-08-2011, 11:43 PM
Wow this sounds like a terrible idea, dont do it!!!!!!!!!

Locke.
15-08-2011, 11:43 PM
Sounds crap, I probably wouldn't watch after the celebrity series if they do it like this

CharlieO
15-08-2011, 11:46 PM
If they are actually doing this I genuinely don't see why they have brought back BB in the first place?

They could have got the exact same show (Golden Cage?) in a nicer location and do the same thing but have no pre conceived negative expectations of the show. If they aren't even at all sticking to the original Big Brother concept what is the point of doing it at all.

Maia

No live feed and now this. I think I've lost all interest.

Though, there are always random rumors all around the internet, but I say, don't judge it just yet, give it a few days, and also, atleast let it start first - before you start saying it's not Big Brother anymore!

Jesus ye's are acting if they are gonna send in aload of actors and make it a soap opera
Clearly all they are doing is just doing a ''LAST TIME ON BIG BRO...'' thing at the beginning of the show and ''NEXT TIME..'' thing at the end its not a big deal like..

Patrick
16-08-2011, 12:23 AM
So you know, they basically ******ing seen that none of us liked BB11 for this reason last year - and have now went and done it TO THE EXTREME this year?

What are they doing!

Hehehe!!! LOL at the outrage panic! Didnt you guys always say, that the highlights were biased anyways in the past. THeyve been doing that forever now.

I hope its not blatantly like that though, BBUSA style because thats a different show, where the public dont get to vote. BUt for BB UK, they will be able to manipulate it a lot more, and get people to vote a certain way.

Not a good idea, but, again, dont be crushing the show, before it even starts. Wait and see what happens first.

Wildcat!
16-08-2011, 12:35 AM
At least they have Live feed for BBUSA, FOR THE die hard fans. This wouldnt work at all without the Live feed!

16-08-2011, 12:37 AM
i for one like the sound of it, since soaps and dramas have more fights and stuff in so they might encourage that :D

If they go through with this it'll suck
Doesnt suit BB at all

I don't mind the 'coming next' and 'previously' sections. I wouldn't chose to have the, but don't particularly mind them. The moment they start manipulating storylines, like they do on TOWIE, is the moment I turn of off though. that would completely **** this series up.

I dont mind that actually. Ive always thought that they should do stuff like that on the highlights. LIke when people lie to other housemate, and say stuff like I never say anything behind your back, or I never did that! There is always a debate, as to weather someone did say this or that! If they show a little snippet of it, like in this clip, it makes it clear, what really happen, and shows if someone is lying or not, if you couldnt remember!

I dont mind that at all, they do it in BBUSA as well.

Like others have said, this is how it's always been. Big Brother 1 had "tonight" and "next" clips. It may be edited a little differently, but it's nothing new.

I dont see the big deal, its only a recap for people who might have missed the night before :S

Patrick
16-08-2011, 10:31 AM
Oh FFS at you dolts who think it's only a little 'recap' on people who missed it.

Also who doesn't have Sky+ I doubt many people would need a recap anyway, but whatever - it's not just a little recap or preview.

They're going to be giving the housemates lines, staging the whole thing - and allowing the producers to have more interference than ever and the whole thing will be fake.

I remember getting in a physical fight in first year with some little dork who kept saying Big Brother was fake and how the producers staged Fight Night 2 and that the housemates are made to act and stuff - so I hit him and a fight kicked off.

Now the little douche bag is going to be right.

They're going to ruin the whole show. :bored:

Chill out, you're all getting hysterical (well a couple of you....ok then mainly one!! lol)

we only have a couple of days to wait and then if it is as bad as anticipated vent your feelings by all means, but don't get in a state based on rumours and speculation.

We may be pleasantly surprised :)

it always has been staged to some extent with task and secert missions and such
the real world is the last remaining true reality tv show
