Well ofcourse they won't admit it. All those other scripted reality shows deny they are too.

OH GREAT!

We have 13 weeks of conspiracy theories about it being scripted now.

Thats gonna be fun

Fair point but they don't really deny it. TOWIE and MIC both admit that the people are real and the story lines but the scenes are set up.

The thing is they have to set up scenes on Towie for location ect but BB is already a set.

All the production will do is set up situations without the housemates knowledge as they do every year so the housemates actions are totally real.

He just meant the style of the show.

C'mon they are not going to script BB. It would come out if they did you know what the housemates are like they would spill the beans afterwards to get attention.

Well with no live feed we cant ever be sure. They could easily have morning prep in the DR as to what the storylines will be. All Channel 5 have to do is cut out the evidence and they can do what they like.

Of course they can, Marcus could be lying for Channel 5. We'll never know.

OMG! it big brother ffs! how the hell could they script that anyway?

They don't script any of those reality shows, they just have to redo some things if they don't get a good camera angle and things like that, but Towie and Jersey shore are not really scripted.

Yeah they need it for TOWIE because all of the cameras are on tripods as opposed to hand-held like a Katie Price or Peter Andre reality show.

As long as the HM reactions are totally real I don't see any problem. They've technically always set up situations because they do things to provoke HMs.

Which is even worse than scripting to be honest. This way they will try make a big drama out of nothing by adding effects and music.

When we say 'scripted' we don't mean scripted, we mean they are given scenarios to perform. Or constructed conversations.

That's if they play with the editing though which I sincerely hope they don't do. What I mean is how Big Brother gives certain tasks to certain HMs to get a reaction from them, think Michelle Bass in BB5 when they gave her a fish gut cocktail because she was a vegetarian. If they leave it at that, no reactions will be fake and they won't need to edit it to cause suspense or drama.

I think they'll just do it the way BBUS does it, like when Dick is on a rampage they play the rock music, or when someone is saying something religious, they play church music in the back round.

But they have already said they are editing in music/effects to create suspense/comedy which shouldn't happen at all.

I say, just watch, wait and see, because all of this speculation will just put us off of the idea of Big Brother on Channel 5 and we won't watch it at all.

Exactly. And 6 months ago there was no more Big Brother EVER, so people should be a bit grateful for anything they get.

Sorry dont agree with that.
C5 bought the name and its clear they only want the name.
this new format change could work wonders and give C5 ratings its never seen before or Bigbrother in a long time.I fully respect that might happen.

but this shift about the editing has been going on a very long time with BB11 being about the worse all the negative aspects of Josie and Dave were deleted that isnt the way to run a show like this.we all have negative sides and its crazy Endemol seem scared of showing that in people they clearly like.

Its the main reason the feed became an issue because you saw the other side that wasnt often shown in the highlights.

IMO the grand plan by C5 is to keep CBB and Drop the Normal one with the new line of thinking that might not be a bad idea.

You're right it shouldn't happen at all but did C5 confirm that? Last I heard, it was only speculation.

I don't really mind anyway, I'm just thrilled that it's back!
