my hotmail account got hacked!!!!

Just tried to log into my e-mails via hotmail and got the on screen message that my account has been frozen due to someone using it to to spam and sent inappropriate stuff. Last week I used my local library and am pretty sure I forgot to log out of facebook before I left so am thinking that's how someone has done it, has this happened to anyone else on here. Really angry about this.

If it's only been frozen, I would get onto them to find out the exact situation and get your account back asap. I can't see how it can be hacked from your facbook as they would need your password, unless your facen=book and hotmail password is the same? If so change them, use different passwords for different sites. You could tell hotmail that this might be how someone hacked it, they should surely have their IP, unless they used the library one also, for the hacking? Sorry can't be much more help.

I have my account sorted, I had to enter my mobile number so they could send me a reactivation code, which seemed stupid tbh, seeing as whoever logged into my account would see the same message and could also get the code!!!! I think it was most likely the person who next used the computer after I did, and yes my password is the same for both but it's not an obvious one for anyone to guess!!!

Same thing happened to me today. Got an error code googled and it said my account was hijacked for spam.
